It was the gay anthem in 1980.. it was funky catchy and really rocked the clubs. Listen to it and turn the volume up loud. It will move the party.👍🏾

I have dream songs, they are songs from me to the part of me thats less me but becoming more at one with me. Eg by sending a message of pure love it soothes the ego into self love and acceptance. Eg the ego would say "we got what you want, we got what you need" funk song 101. The true self would write it like, "we got what you want, we GOT what you want". Niles dream song, "I want your love, I WANT your love" only using the word want because need is not a concept within unconditional love consciousness. Interesting lyric now i know where it came from.

Songs can be interpreted in many different ways. “I’m Coming Out” is not a gay anthem to me. It’s just a great song.

Nile you are always beyond the scope of your audience. I'm glad it's not wasted on me. Nile I fully understand you're a high level musical savant and nobody is on your level. You're in your 70s I'm in my 50s, Without what you do, I wouldn't be able to do what I do.

I thought "i'm coming out" is a gay song but its not. Its a metaphor of going out from a current situation. Like me, i'm a guitar player since 1996. I never played in public - on stage - until last November 2018. I went out from being a loner guitar player to an intermediate skilled crowd pleaser. I'm coming out is so me and i'm not even gay.

Pinoy keyboard warrior It wasn't intended as one but over time it has become synonymous with the gay audience. It has a lot of meanings for everyone.
@galetinm
@galetinm 2 жыл бұрын
@@joaniec6178 it was intended. Nile was at a gay club, or some kind of a drag show, and he was in the bathroom and there were all these Diana Ross impersonators, and he was doing the Diana Ross record at that time, and he called Bernard, the bass player, so he would write down the phrase, "I'm coming out", because he (Nile) will get drunk and forget it. He explains why too. There's the whole story here on YT, and Nile tells it much better than me.
