Hi there, I need help. I need to be able to set barcode scanning behaviour so that for the SHIP module in WMS express, every quantity scanned to be shipped needs to be physically scanned individually, as opposed to scan and then allow manual input of quantity. We have incorrect stock going out, so this ensure every stock shipped has been physically scanned. Urgent reply would be much appreciated, thank you!

WMS Express can support your requirement. In Business Central, if you search for Scan Behaviors, find the SALES_OUT_DOC Application Code and change "Scan Required" to "Always" which will enforce scanning the item. To enforce scanning for each individual quantity, the "Scan Quantity Behavior" can be configured to "No Dialog Increase by 1" to prevent the user from entering any quantities manually after the initial scan. After making this change, please don't forget to reload the scanner configuration so the changes take effect. Hi there this is great, thank you! Question - how do I set the barcode behaviour up so that each item has to be scanned individually? Ie. Item A has qty of 4. All 4 items of Item 4 has to be scanned, without allowing manual insertion or editing of quantity in qty field. Thanks in advance!

That capability is controlled in the “Scan Behaviors” page in Business Central. For each application (such as “pick”), create one or more records by item, item category, or item tracking, and set the “Scan Quantity Behavior” to “No Dialog Increase by 1”

SPS is full of it. They are GREAT at creating slides and marketing, but they do NOT have Trading Partner expertise. Their retention rate of employees is horrible. I worked there, and have worked with them many, many times. They are QUICK to take your $500 to test trading partners, but they do the MINIMAL and expect YOU to review all errors. Their web portal is NOT true EDI. A bunch of overpaid executives sucking money out of clients and that's what they focus on, they do not focus on helping you onboard an EDI partner efficiently. They take their sweet time, because after 15 days, you have to pay an extension fee. This is their goal and the executives drive this. Archie Black, Jim Frome, all the people at the top that depend on their outlandish bonuses while the regular employees priorities are to attend DEI training, vs. taking care of clients. SPS is horrible.

When integrating Warehouse Insight into Business Central, you are given a barcode to scan with your mobile device. It's important to note that unless you're using one of our LTL freight integrators, a BOL in Dynamic Ship functions primarily as a report and doesn't maintain its own history. However, you can find all the information that would be on a BOL within the license plate data in the system.
