When watching this video, try to think back to the days when TV's had antennas or rabbit ears and you are watching an out of town station. A day when it was cloudy or raining and you could get a far away, out of town station with some really good fine tuning skills :)

@@RetroElijah1982 Thanks! Nick-at-Nite was indeed a precursor to TV Land. NaN came around in the mid-80s or so & TV Land debuted in fall 1996, I believe. The Chevrolet Camaro came out in 1967, So earliest for the Camaro ad would be Fall 1966. As far as the other ads, Remember that some ads ran for several years, So an ad from 1965 could still be running in 1966-67 as well. Hell, I remember radio ads that ran virtually unchanged from the early 1970s well into the 1980s! (Harder to keep them around as long on TV of course) LOL.
@RedMountainRetroАй бұрын
@@jamesslick4790 Thanks! I may have to edit the title to make this one a “general 1960s” instead of specially 1965! Lol you can probably I’m not a fat guy 😂
@jamesslick4790Ай бұрын
@@RedMountainRetro LOL No worries, Stuf like cars are an easy "marker" but like I said a 1965 ad could very be on a 1967 or HELL, a 1970s tape as SOME ads (Think, a "Kool Aid" ad") would Not be updated every year. Car ads of course WOULD. SO most of these ARE likely 1965 ads, But on a 1966 or '67 tape. (or film), It's often HARD TO TELL, Especially in radio ads We had a local home improvement company who had the SAME AD run on a local radio station for DECADES!
