Why may I ask that you use your voice
@OneHorseLife2 ай бұрын
Thank you for asking! I use my voice to transfer suggestions that the horse already knows from the ground to the new , saddle and ridden context for all young horses. This is the most delicate and supportive way to move the training of your horse to this new, fascinating chapter!
@tracihuff97803 ай бұрын
Thank you for the beautiful step by step explanation. We all need that for a young horse…using the corners she took correct lead every time.

Hi Anna, I love these videos, it is such an inspiration for my learning journey. Thank you. Just curious, is it a winderen bit you are riding in? We just tried one with our mustang who did not seem to like the bits we tried and he accepted it more than the others. Also, he does not have a noseband. When do you decided a noseband helps or hinders a horse? Thank you. ❤ relaxation is the true key, we were so glad to learn that, what a difference it made starting our mustangs with this.
@OneHorseLife Жыл бұрын
Hi Kate! We are using this bit since the horse had his tooth removed (we found out he had a broken tooth, that he already had in such condition when coming to us), and as there is still a tampon in the hole, we are using a different bit. But generally thicker bits are nicer for young horses, or those who had problems with the bit, and additionally if the bit is from another material that the one that the horse associated negatively before it can promote relaxation 🥰 However, with RTRT Technique we prefer metal bits as they are more precise and allow to have a better feel of where the horse is relaxing and gaining flexibility and how (to what an extent), with the elastic bits it is more difficult as they tend to bend even if the horse remains stiffer, so they require a total awareness from the rider and a lot of feel to distinguish if this is horse gaining elasticity or whether elasticity appears due to material from which the bit is made of!

I'm 20 minutes in. Can you also check out as a defense? To protect yourself from what is happening?
@annamarc12003 жыл бұрын
Hello Lucas, yes you can have a habit of checking out not to participate in what is happening but only when and if your are not home as a normal state of being. If you were home and used to being home your True You would have taken action to change, stop or leave the situation that you are in and find unpleasant or uncomfortable. If you live in a beautiful home that is yours and you take care of this home with dedication and heart every day, and then one day you see someone littering in front of your house, you go out and tell him off or start to clean. If, on the other hand, this is not your house, you are just visitor (a so called "squatting tendency" living inside of your house) then if you see someone littering you think "it's not my house, I will go more inside not to see this all happening, I will wait for my aunt/owner/other person to come and decide what to do about it". I hope it helps! Your True You is always powerful, and always has the strength, resources and power to ACT and bring the change.

Nice! Did you learn from Carolyn Resnick, The Carolyn Resnick Method?
@OneHorseLife4 жыл бұрын
No. This is Optimal Performance Program conscious muscle relaxation method for relaxing smooth muscles of the stomach - we improve comfort and relaxation of colicky horses with that, and those whose tensions make them aggressive towards other horses.
@300tdavis4 жыл бұрын
@@OneHorseLife Cool. One of her techniques is very similar...
@OneHorseLife4 жыл бұрын
@@300tdavis I very seriously doubt it :-) maybe just superficially by looking on the video.. What we focus on is building conscious awareness of access to muscles and ability to relax them consciously in different situations. What I am showing here is not the technique but results of the technique. I hope it helps :-)
