Our USAR gear is certified for NFPA 1999 (EMS) & NFPA 1951 (Technical Rescue). It is not certified for NFPA 1977 (Wildland). We do have 3 Wildland options; 1. Single-Certified Wildland Gear (www.firedex.com/catalog/wildland/) 2. Dual-Certified TECGEN51 - 1977 & 1951 (www.firedex.com/catalog/tecgen51-fatigues/) 3. TECGEN 51 and TECGEN 71 is hands down the best on the market! The TECGEN Rescue 80 is a great spec.

How are the knee pads in the bunkers made is it just two pieces of fabric or is it actually padding and could you customize an order with extra padding in the knee pads

Hello @Carlton Faulkner! We currently have the option to choose single layer or double layer padding. In some cases, single layer can be a better choice as the pants are easier to don and doff especially on smaller waist sizes. The layers from skin would go: Liner (Thermal/Moisture) Shell (Shell fabric/ Foam / PCA or Shell reinforcement) Hope this helps!

How does the sizing run on these?

We offer XS, S, M, LG, XL, 2X. These are equivalent to NFPA sizing 70N, 70W, 76N,76W, 82N, 82W respectively. There are also options for knit wrists, gauntlet cuffs or cadet sizing (for shorter finger lengths). Learn more or order yours at www.firedex.com/catalog/dexpro/.
