I ordered this stock for an SPR build. It’s not a rifle I’ll be doing a lot of maneuvering with, so it’s perfect for my use case. The angled portion at the front bottom of the stock is meant for your non-dominant hand to apply pressure to secure the stock into your shoulder for precision fire.

There was a discussion about this on a P&S live stream where one of the panel asked someone from magpul if they had something like a PRS-Lite that was also collapsible like the carbine stock. (see what I did there?) The over-all shape of the stock, and maybe the thing you can attach to the bottom there is maybe for a bag rider attachment. Would probably be a good option for those who want a collapsible stock like this. I'm running a fixed stock for my SPR setup.
@rooftop_komplexАй бұрын
What’s P&S? That’s awesome though other people were thinking of the same thing. I definitely think there should have been some sort of add on for the bottom though.

What you carry on the range isn’t about what you need and it definitely isn’t about comfort. It’s about getting reps wearing what you would use in the scenario you are training for. Train the way you fight.
@rooftop_komplex2 ай бұрын
@@danielhiginbotham1026 mission drives gear. How many people conus are doing extended patrols? I’d say not many if at all. So most people training with minimalist equipment for quick “hits” is a more likelihood than 2-4 day extended patrols. I agree train the way you fight. But if your mission doesn’t require extended patrols, does it make sense to train such?

How are you gonna fix the zero issue when it's start happening? I've heard the mcks have a lot of zero shift after you start running them alot
@rooftop_komplex2 ай бұрын
I haven’t really heard of that but, it wouldn’t surprise me. I try to confirm zero pretty much anytime I start training and adjust if need to. I think if that starts, I’ll just have to keep adjusting until it becomes unserviceable and if it does, I’ll just contact them and ask them for the next steps.
@maxbaxtraxgaming53782 ай бұрын
@rooftop_komplex that's more than most people say to me. They say just don't buy it. I was thinking about getting one for my g3c I got in my safe and leaving it in that because I figured the zero issue was from people taking the gun out and re inserting it and the zero being off
@maxbaxtraxgaming53782 ай бұрын

Part of the "should I wear a chest rig" discussion for me involves whether I want to be really obvious about having that kind of stuff showing. Personally, I'm more inclined to be protecting the medics (or helping them) than anything else. Yes, part of that is having some goodies to feed the pew-pew. But, frankly, I'm more likely to have a low-key pack carrying supplies for medics and keeping an otherwise low-profile persona myself. YMMV Having been around a "civil unrest" event that lasted months (2020), I was safer NOT wearing a lot of obvious weaponry, but carrying stuff that implied I would help folks who were dealing with heat exhaustion or relatively minor injuries or even dealing with (against Geneva Convention) tear gas.
@rooftop_komplex2 ай бұрын
Some valid points and that really dives into mission sets. If your mission is to act in a first responder capacity then a full extended patrol rig makes no sense. In an urban area like you’re talking about it would make zero sense to have full kit on making you and obvious target. But if your in the rural areas where there isn’t many people around and you have to move on foot, then something like the mayflower may be worth a look. IMO.
@mccjoe012 ай бұрын
Load out for what "could" happen. Chances of resupply in the civilian world are slim. Set up a "range rig" for range use.or a battle belt. Side arm dump pouch 4 to six rifle mags and pistol mags.
@rooftop_komplex2 ай бұрын
This is exactly what I was talking about. Gear for specific mission sets. Range time at your local shooting range doesn’t really need a full extended patrol setup.
