Thanks for this good and precise tour of a very nice boat

Wheres the motor?

Nice little vessel but that price tag is pure insanity. Go look at an Axopar 37. A Saxdor 400. Then come back to this, which is way more expensive than either....😅
@mwinner101Күн бұрын
That is a nice looking boat but the price is so high. Edit: just looked and it has two 6.2L V8s. Guess that explains the price.
@gcanada300515 сағат бұрын
They are always expensive. Boats this big need diesels motors and generators, not gas motors

..you lost me at "designated Doer of Sailing videos ??" sooo ....your the best and only one !!!???
@ironichumoristКүн бұрын
when i see a sea ray i always think of that boat that blasts the music disturbing the entire marina and also the boat that wakes the entire anchorage. i dont know where that imagery comes from.

A rich guys rude kid, we've all been there. Is it me or is this boat small looking inside
@TheUrbanEpicureКүн бұрын
Practical and well made, but so ugly (sits way too tall in the water, looks like a kei car mini-van of the seas) and totally overpriced. A Cap Camarat is really a much better choice.

Great tour! You call it a funky design, I say, what a completely impractical Italian yacht. Only 3 cramped cabins, lower level is darker than a cave, no functional fly bridge, 2 bad galleys, crew accommodations have to be miniscule. Wow...

This lifeboat was privately owned and spent many years in Cork harbour Ireland 🇮🇪 before being sold to it’s new owner.

Looks really good other than the side glass being divided in half with that 10” horizontal panel. Ruins the view.

How long do you think that tree trunk size piece of wood on the side will last ?

Wow that brought back some memories, when I was an Apprentice I worked for a toolmaking company opposite Halmatic who built the fibreglass version of the later Aruns, we did a lot of engineering work for them mostly prop shaft and other machining and interestingly all the headless silicon bronze bolts. The headless bolts were bolts with eather a counter sink or square shoulder with totally round heads but no screw driver slots or hexagons so you would have to cut them off if you wanted to remove them as they were impossible to unscrew once fitted into a countersink/bore, why you ask? it was to stop the bronze bolts being removed for scrap value and replaced with steel bolts, not sure if they still do that today but the RNLI must have had a few unscrupulous crews in the past. I used to be friends with the Halmatic engineers and once went over to Gosport to get turned up side down in the roll over commissioning test, that was pretty scary.

What I don't understand with this and many other cat's why the helms position is on the extreme corner of the hull, with no any form of railings behind that position. one weird bounce in the waves and you go tumbling down that stern stairs and overboard :S

@5:28 - I believe those are egress windows, incase the boat goes turtle, but not sure.

@8:35 - Pushing thirty knots sounds exhilarating. The greatest times I have had in sailing is probably in a Laser doing 10 - 12 knots. Not sure at what speed the Lazer's hull starts to hum, but it always meant I was having fun.

These are the best catamarans money can buy, this one might be old but she’s still worthy. If I’m not mistaken these Cat can hit 27+ knots. This is my favorite Cat builder out of all of them, this design with the inside wheel and doors that open to the front outside, it’s the best. Would love to charter one of these for a long long voyage around the world. Maybe one day though if not they’re fun to look at in these videos.

i disagree about the view out the front from the lower helm. to me it seems too far back from the screen giving a poor view over hte bow. as you walk around hte boat i can hear the sole creaking both above and below. the quality doesnt seem what you would like. nice heads on this one. good size to single hand.
