If you ever play it again or go New Game+ I really recommend the Whalloper especially for the Pokitaru enemies.

Question, why don't you use the widescreen patch/hack? Should be a feature in the emulator itself. At least to my eye, it doesn't look like you use it. The game renders well with it, the UI is the only thing that is still stretching. Or is it an OBS thing? I notice it doesn't fill the screen right either.

If you're looking for a second use to the taunter, it's rather usefull to destroy stacks of Boxes quick without spending any ammo. Can even set off the explosive ones if i remember (Haven't played R&C1 in decades so anyone is free to correct me on that. Kudos to the one that made the bounty, the man has taste in games.)

Setch, i believe you need to retrive wukong past memories from Erlang first before fighting the stone monkey in order to become the mind and granted the true ending. i think its very strange to be given the circlet again in the end if the goal was to be free from celestial court

it was really really nice sendoff for wukong's life, and it makes sense too. wukong had so many immortality buff and the only way for him break the cycle is to be defeated by his perfect clone. thats why erlang said he cannot defeat the monkey himself. i assume its all elaborate plan by him and the monkey

To bad I missed most of this in the morning. I love star forts as a concept and design. I too have used 8 pointed ones in wittings / ttrpgs. Back when I played a bunch of 5e (before it was 90% crap) I had one of my cities on the side of a mountain range be one with a large tower in the center. The lower point on the side opposite of the mountain was longer than the rest, and the city was like a step city similar to Minas Tirith. From over head it would have looked similar to a sword / cross shaped star with trench lines / tunnels around it; before the rivers and lakes protecting it. I can't remember it I had trenches mixed in some the exterior fields and farm lands, but it sounds like something I would have done. I figured magic (even cantrips) would lead to the early development of trench warfare even before the human tinkerers invented firearms / cannons in the cannon of D&D lore. So logically the star fort was good for sieges and the trenches were there for added security. This was back when I was rewriting the fighter class and eldritch knight sub class to be much more useful if not scary; same goes for a few feats (alone with new ones I made), and some weapons. I still don't understand some the balance choices in 5e at all. Assuming one of your magic filled worlds is more technologically advanced (like battletech or fallout) or has magitech, what's to stop governments and corpos from using electricity mages / creatures as power sources? I guess this can apply to any mage that can wield magic that doubles as a power source (hydro electric, thermal, wind, and so on). Someone in the field trying to fix their mech or something else by cracking open the battery slot(s) to find a living creature would be in a hell of a shock; if they are outside the know. Not only did they just void the warranty (and sent out an emergency signal for tampering to the feds / corps), but now the know the horrible secret.

The saw is all I use as Guardian, the trick is you lock down as often as you can (which is very often), you do it to throw bugs away from other troopers, and be the bait for big groups, just stunning and whittling them all down. I've solo'd tigers with it with the melee defence perk just spraying them in the mouth while they try to squish me. I play on Hard too. I will say its bad if you prefer to run around and reposition a lot, and aren't ready to constantly stop and start moving. Other than that I can say its my favourite weapon in the game.

You only need one shadow key to open all the shadow chests. It doesn't brake like the gold keys do.

You can use bombs to blow up and the collect the purple ore. You can also do this to obsidian blocks as well.

Just to let you know if you want to go down into water with the inner tube all you have to do is press down and if you want/need to go back up is to stop holding down. So you don't have to take it off if you don't want to.

The reason to not putting them all is so they can nickel and dime you with dlc later.
