My Hayward SM1906T Filter developed a pin hole leak at the seam in August of 2022. I purchased a replacement from Pool Supplies and here we are in August 2024 and it has happened again. Clearly, this plastic vessel is not good enough for the job.

@vickyharvey47922 жыл бұрын
So how do you fix it?? Hayward gives you a 1 year warranty and ours in 5 years old. Definitely not leaking at the valve
@dubmasterz32612 жыл бұрын
It’s not the seam. It’s the valve seal. There are two, a blue one that goes flat onto the lip of the filter. Then there is a white one inside the valve once you remove the screws on top. That one seals the chambers. Replace those and problem is gone. You can thank me anytime.
@abiseid4 ай бұрын
It's the seam brother. I had the same issue. Same filter. It's dead and unrepairable. I've tried everything imaginable and the pressure makes it fail. There are some tricks that can slow down the leak but not repair it.
@dubmasterz32614 ай бұрын
@@abiseid sorry to hear of your unfortunate misguidance or circumstance but from the video and my 30 years experience with Hayward, it’s the valve seals.

Controllboard w. Display and a powerline filter board Did yo mean the Power boards, were the jumpers have to be set? Thanks for any hint Peter

Hello sir how you doing. This was a great video you put together. You had a nice size group and I know you all had fun on the water. It look like it was a very very easy float down the river. I do have a question? Do you know what kind of water shoes that you had on? My son just bought a kayak and we are looking for some type of Footwear for him to wear while kayaking. My has a very very wide feet sz 13 4 EEEE wide with big toe that are straight across making his between 4 1/2 to 5 inches wide. I cannot tell if you have wide feet or not. I really would appreciate if you could let me know. I would not have a clue because I had a very very extremely wide foot myself because I'm a sz15 6 EEEEEE wide with very very fat wide toe that it would be straight across making my foot 6 1/2 inches wide from my big toe to my little toe. ( father like son ) right. There is no shoes , sock , or boot that will fit my foot because my foot outgrew shoes and socks 33 years ago. Again I really would appreciate it good video and thank you for sharing.

My oven will hold temps at 120-140F. The Grilla just can't go that low. I didn't want to cook it any more and just keep it warm. Hope this answered your question!

@@willamandaglover263 I was a professional chef for 30 years and abused my fair share of equipment. The Silverbac is an exceptional piece of equipment. Wish I had one years ago. It's solidly built with heavier gauge steel and I use it year round even in the deep snow. It also has solid support if needed. The Facebook group "My Grilla Grill Smoker" is also worth mentioning as a resource. Some really like-minded folks there.
