I want to copy the program to another 6k4, but after operating according to the video, it can't be used normally. AXIS1 and AXIS3 are red lights, and 2 and 4 are not on. After copying, only AXIS1 is on the red light, and nothing else is on! The terminal window keeps prompting invalid!

I have old Parker PA05S and it’s doesn’t connect to Interact Xpress Manager, Some functions is locked on HMI, is it possible to make factory reset without password?
@JoHoMoCo
@JoHoMoCo Жыл бұрын
PA05 is Interact based HMI. That’s a DOS based HMI. I’d suggest contacting your machine builder as you’ll need an old WinXP computer and buy Interact if you’re trying to make changes. Interact Xpress can be used for newer machines but the project will need to be rewritten into Xpress Manager. There’s not a conversion tool. You can contact the machine builder. Perhaps they’ve already done it or could do the programming. Interact Xpress uses the XT series HMIs and completely different hardware and software than the very old Interact and PA series HMIs

You have not mentioned DTEs or DCEs. A DTE is a Data Terminal Equipment e.g. a PC or dumb terminal and a DCE - e.g. a modem or line driver etc - is a Data Communications Equipment. A DTE sends data on pin 2 and receives on pin 3. A DCE receives - yes receives - data on pin 2 and transmits data on pin 3. This means on a 25way connector a DCE will send data on pin 3 even though the designation of the pin is RxD. The reason for this is to do with the fact that a DCE is normally receiving data from a line system e.g. a telephone line and so the data that it sends out on the DCE interface is the data that it received from the line system. Many people make the mistake of thinking that you always need to cross transmit to receive but not when connecting a DTE to a DCE. So when connecting a DTE to a DCE you actually connect TxD on the DTE to TxD on the DCE and RxD on the DTE to RxD on the DCE.

Thanks for adding that - manuals for other devices should be consulted. Some plc’s use straight-thru cales (2-2, 3-3, 5-5 on 9pin) from through cables such as old AB that have serial ports. Our drives though use crossover cables (2-3, 3-2, 5-5 on 9pin) and hence the video is explaining connecting to our equipment.

Hello, I apologize but I have an one more question about our communication bellow. I have Compax3 parker device: C3 S150 V4 F10 C0 T11 M00. F10 = resolver, C10 = integrated controller, T11 = positioning via digital I/O. I have tried unplug ethernet connection between parker and HMI. Normal mode: HMI displays informations: HMI version: xxx xxx and SW version: xxx xxx. Unplug mode: HMI version: the same as normal mode but SW version - information is empty. My question... Is program for controlling and visualizion screens inside Compax3? Is possible upload the program from parker device? I have tried it but I have got only config. Thanks a lot

C10 is a plmc. You’ll need to use C3 ServoManager to upload. Full details see the online help file. Look at online device identification. Is it configured as a t30 or t40? Or was it configured as a T10 or T11? If it’s a T10 or T11, there won’t be a CoDeSys program.
@Pavel-ze7gp
@Pavel-ze7gp 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks your quickly answer. Yes device was configured as T11. It mean, the device is use as positioner T11 and feedback F10 as resolver. The device /home position, speed, acceleration, etc is controlled from a master cotrol system? For new Compax 3 servo driver suffices download only .cfg file which I uploaded from old device? P.
@JoHoMoCo
@JoHoMoCo 2 жыл бұрын
The T11 is a simple indexer and everything is in the drive configuration file (.c3p file). Only the T30 or T40 use CoDeSys v2.3 (as an offline programmer tool, with the .pro file -- in addition to the drive's .c3p config file) So yes, if you've uploaded from the old Compax3, connect the new one and then download, you're good to go. The new part number will need to match the drive configuration in the software. Someone could've bought a T30 but then decided to use it as T11 and dumb it down in the software. So it could be T30 or T40 printed on the side of the C3 but used as a T11 or T10. Sometimes that gives programmers flexibility if the spec hasn't determined what all the drive needs to do. Or if someone needs a spare T10 and have a T40, you can dumb it down to the T10 base drive and voila -- rather than having a lot of different configurations. The power level and F feedback need to match (S063V2F12IxxTxxMxx) though as the current & voltage are based on the hardware and the F feedback is either resolver F10 (or Stegmann) or incremental encoder F12 (or EnDat)

I had prob which is the feedback is not the same. Example if puts "asdf" then the feedback will come out "asde". It is like near miss. I use rs232 cable solder with 9 pin female d sub connect to male d sub cable which has usb.
@JoHoMoCo
@JoHoMoCo 2 жыл бұрын
How long is the cable? Is it shielded? If it’s longer than 10ft stretch it out so it’s not coiled up which can increase the impedance. Consider shortening it - rs232 isn’t reliable beyond 15ft. Make sure it’s not next to high power cables with a lot of noise/switching frequency. If you must cross it, cross at 90degrees but best if you re-route it so it’s not next to high power cables. It could also be ground loop; if on a laptop try unplugging the power supply and run on battery; I’ve seen issues where controller is on one circuit and pc is on different curvy it and because the grounds weren’t the same caused issues. If it’s not a laptop, try plugging pc into same circuit as controller. Though unlikely it could be bad solder on the cable. Try spare rs232cable. Off by just one character it’s probably not that but that’s be last thing to try. Let me know if that doesn’t fix it.

When you take the rotor out, you've lost about 40% of your magnet strength. You'll need to purchase a replacement. No way to fix as you'd need a magnetizer machine to re-magnetize the rotor. You should never take the rotor out. Sorry for you to learn this the hard way.

Hello, i building a rotating engine stand with 100:1 worm gear.. nmrv050.. I will have a crank handle on it, but that means 50 revs to turn the engine 180 degrees. What type of gearbox can i use to increase the speed? Will the nema planetary work for me? Do you have som recommendations?
@JoHoMoCo
@JoHoMoCo 3 жыл бұрын
Worm driven gearheads are so inefficient they can't be back-driven (from the output shaft). If you check the efficiency of the gearhead, if it's over 90% then the torque to backdrive is the ratio times the startup torque/seal friction on the input side. Parker planetary are over 90% and can be used as a speed multiplier if you flip it around, no modification needed. The PV gearheads are planetary and have no seals so the input friction is quite low so I'd start by looking at it.
