To compare pork belly to bacon speaks volumes. Bacon is treated with nitrates and either chemically smoked or smoked. Pork belly is just that. Pork belly. No nitrates, zero smoking, zero curing. Nothing alike. Yes you can treat Pork belly and make your own bacon but the 2 are no more alike than apples and ceramic bowls.........

I'm not for sure why you're not posting anymore videos! But I can tell you set a 11 million subscriber channel! Said his first two years, he did not get a like all! Then all the sudden it took off! He took two years off after 10 plus years! Is old channel still gets views! But he started a completely new channel. So just saying if the reason is not getting to subscribers! Just keep digging, because just this one recipe I will be subscribing! Even though that green and yellow Jersey kind of hard to take! Lol just had to make a little joke! I like to use the Stubbs liquid smoke in the beginning and make a maple bourbon glaze for the end. Looks great!

I made them and it turned out very tender and flavorful. I did kinda smaller cuts which dried out the meat a bit but still easy to eat. Next time bigger chunks for sure

I made mine with..get this...boneless pork backbone. I swear that's what was on the package. Dirt cheap. I did mine on a pellet grill at the station (with a pellet tube smoker inside) , finished them in the oven. I couldn't tell the difference between them and some real belly made on a huge stick burner at a BBQ competition at the Frio River. Greetings from S.E. Texas. Go Cowboys!

Great question. The butter will burn while cooking the shrimp in the correct way. Butter has a low smoke point. The olive oil has a higher smoke point.

Checking every hour and spritzing with apple juice or ACV Coat your pork belly chunks w/olive oil , some mesquite seasoning, some garlic powder ( a little chipotle seasoning for a little kick) mix really good and don’t be afraid to add more seasoning. And your favorite bbq sauce,honey place on cookie rack on top of baking sheet and cooking spray. I typed this so I could screenshot and thought it maybe helpful to viewers. Thanks Shane for sharing!❤

Update!!! Made these for a Mother’s Day as a gift to myself and everyone love them. But I was only able to save two for myself.LOL II used Tuffy Stone seasoning and bbq sauce on them. lol. So thank you so much for the great recipe.
