Nightingale is, in my opinion, the best game in 2024. The atmosphere and the possibilities are fantastic and grandiose. A construction and survival game with addictive potential. At the moment I've played 150 hours according to Steam and there's still so much to explore and do. Farming, crafting, housing and trying out the different possibilities is great and a lot of fun. I can recommend Nightingale to anyone who takes the time to play this complex game.

This game had the potential to be huge, but just never got it figured out. They could start by adding a better crafting system, MORE fuckin’ loot, and yea- that’s about it.

Enjoyable video. I'm shocked they have no speedos in this game.

As for Charms/Infusions and Enchantments. Charms (Only 1) are for clothing, ranged weapons and non melee items (Think of them as extra perks). Infusions (Up to 3) you can put on everything to bump up certain stats (Like melee damage or durability). Enchantments (up to 3) are for melee weapons (Like spells you can cast.). It is very confusing at first. I had to make a spreadsheet to figure these out. Good luck

Also this latest update makes the climbing picks have a secondary function. Hit right mouse button on something and grapple towards it like spiderman. The sickle also has a secondary function like a boomerang. Good for clearing lots of plants

Yay finally caught up. If you hold "E" for pickup you can grab all loose items in a radius around you.

In a pinch you can extract some crude fibre into basic essence for repairs

As for the Eoten trees. An axe can work well if you hit the glowing blue orbs (Weakpoints)

The Bastille you were having a problem with is a defense puzzle. You need to chat with one of those wondering around to trigger the event. Then defend the laser from waves of bound.

You made some good progress in this one. Where are the other prisoners??? Can't believe we haven't come across any yet. (Just a note which I hope you'll feel free to ignore - it may be because I've watched quite a few of your excellent vids - but the background music is getting a tiny bit... Well you can guess the rest.)

Like you say - what can go wrong when you stick out like a sore thumb in your bright orange jump-suit.

Im only guessing but maybe the reason you can't get a kill from a long distance is because shotguns are not good for far away targets. And this game has a lot of realism. Also it looks fantastic.

I know. The first time I did it with the big it took ages. On this one I whipped through it with the shotgun. Dont know how but it worked. Lol

I just got finished doing this Hollow quest in my game yesterday. Now I cleared mine without dying but mainly because I kept up my rested bonus and utilized the grapping hook and glider to change floor levels quickly - this put separation between me and large stacks of enemies when I needed it for healing. Also I was purely melee and used a good one handed mace to capitalize on blunt damage to kill skeletons in 3 hits combos. One other this I would suggest is keep up your rest bonus. Campfires are crucial for these longer dungeon runs but are also very easily made with materials around; only taking a couple wood. Those player spawn areas are perfect rest areas to place one down as they provide high comfort levels, those repair anvils, and even provide more than enough furniture for you to break down for the necessary wood in crafting a campfire. I suggest to not lower the comfort levels by leaving at least a single of each furniture type (chair, table, illumination/lighting). Also if you do die you'll spawn in and regain your resting bonus before setting back out to retrieve your dropped items.

Hey mate, Try fishing at B4 Trader in, I am currently chasing the max weight tuna its 50kg..my biggest so far in them is 48.9.kg and my biggest Catfish is 49.3kg, i was 700g off 50kg max weight, its not like the game will round it up either lol. Should catch up on a pve server some time mate and go for a fish. Cheers Luxxy

Ahh thx mate. I did go back in after and speak to aric but il go and seal the well. I was glad to get through it as I thought the episodes were getting up there numbers wise. Thx for all your help. I'm definitely going to play it all again off camera.

If you go back in and talk to aric you will get the recipe for the mithtil armor and a new weapon, also you didn't seal the ward in the shadow weĺ. It will give you the recipe to make durins lamp.

I was soooo hyped for SCUM several years ago when the development was ramping up....but then after playing it a few different times over the past couple of years, it just feels too....i dunno. It may be the User Interface......the poor crafting mechanics.... whatever it is, it's just not an enjoyable experience for me.
