Perhaps Placing A Book Or Such On Top Of The Numbers Would Have Helped The Glue Form A Proper Bond On The Acrylic. A Folded Heavy Towel On The Top Of The Ones Adhered To The Bases Solves That Issue. You Don't Need Much Weight - Just Enough So That Air Bubbles Don't Solidify Between The Pieces. Overall .... Awesome Work!

Thank you so much. This particular sign is 35cm in diameter so its USD35, however I can make a 50cm diameter one for USD50 or a 20cm diameter one for USD20. However because of its size, the 20cm diameter one will only have the words fear not as the rest of the text will be way too small to work with.

I read that cutting vinyl with a laser can be really harmful to your health. Please make sure you’re using safe materials. The video and end result look great. Thank you for this tutorial!

Noted thank you so much, when I bought the laser and was watching videos on laser machines I also came across a lot of channels that mentioned vinyl was unsafe and that they use what they call laser cut vinyl? Trust me I researched far and wide for the so called laser vinyl and can't find it anywhere. If by some miracle you do find it please point it out for me too. Thank you for the heads up nevertheless, I appreciate it, and I appreciate you for reaching out and being kind enough to comment on my video. Much love🥰

Great video. Do you cut the HTV with the carrier or do you remove it when lasering? What temperature did you use to press it to the acrylic?
@yourgirlinzim Жыл бұрын
HTV is cut with carrier as that acts as the transfer tape when you are transferring it onto your chosen surface. As the Heat Press Temperature, I don't have a particular setting, i work my way up gradually until the HTV sticks to the acrylic. I've tried setting a high temperature but it bubbled up with acrylic and was unable to use it, so now I start from low/medium heat then work my way up slowly until the vinyl sticks to the acrylic. Hope that helps.

couple questions... Is the vinyl laser safe fume wise. I know PVC is a big no no to cut with laser and would it have been better to weed after gluing everything on so any glue squeeze out wont get on the acrylic? just curious. looks great.
@yourgirlinzim Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much. I haven't had any challenges with the vinyl, I reduce the laser power and increase the speed. Vinyl does let off a bit of a smell but because I don't cut large volumes of it, it doesn't matter much. I've found that weeding after gluing tends to leave some sort of glue discolouration on the acrylic so its better to weed first then glue, that way your acrylic stays nice and clean.
@afbigfish1 Жыл бұрын
@@yourgirlinzim no problem, just fyi I did a little more research after my first post and it looks like vinyl is indeed a big no no to cut on the laser. It releases a toxic gas when burned which is very bad for your health and machine. So, please be careful and safe.
