Thanks for the report. I went to Punta Mita December a couple of years ago and the ocean was teeming with fish there. There was a small mullet run and it brought the pelagics close to shore and I had some amazing snorkeling adventures with trevally and rooster fish. The Vedder has not been easy for me, just 2 small wilds to show for 3 weeks of fishing often. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fqPVfZ6woduEe5I

The 2019 grey freestone backpack was the best bag Simms ever made. I am using mine until it can't be repaired. It's the one that had the frame with the mesh panel that kept the bag away from your back. Perfect layout for a fishing backpack.

Hey I’m self taught and I tie counterclockwise as well. There are some advantages and a few things that become a tad more difficult than otherwise would be
@timapple658613 күн бұрын
That's a bad habit if you use twisted materials like chenilles and yarns that'll unwind a bit with every wrap if you go at it that way. Likewise, round and oval tinsel ribs are much more likely to be nicked by a fish fang because the exposed side runs cross-wise to the hook shank. But then again, battle-scarred, threadbare flies are often equally effective. Or you can just add a wire or paracord rib to everything if you're a feckless southpaw like me. :)

Excellent video gentlemen. I had the absolute pleasure to do a guided run w/ Jake down the Squamish as part of an auction a couple of years ago. Great time getting on the fish, quoting movies, and dunking on our favourite KZbin Fishing channels.

Hi Matt, thanks for great video. Would November 9-12 be a good timing for Squamish rafting or bit too late?

Great time frame especially when looking at how this season is panning out. We figure prime time is about then as long as it doesn’t get too cold. Or rain like stink.

I mounted a small sounder onto the top or my trolling motor through the plastic housing , and ran the cables to the power hook ups for the motor and the cable for the transducer down the shaft. I mounted the transducer with some large stainless hose clamps to the motor housing. It was clean and worked flawlessly.

How do you add the trailer hook to the braid? Also, would any type of braided fishing line work for the trailer?

Great video, love all the background as you are tying. Where/how do you use this fly? Eg, Ocean shore casting stripped fast/slow? River swung on a floating/sink line? Strip slow or under an indicator?

What is the deepest depth you'd use UV flashers in inland waters?
@PacificAnglerTV5 ай бұрын
It really depends on water clarity. The mouth of Fraser is very dirty water. But up Howe sound or across the straight things are clear and you will see guys happily running Uv at 60-90ft. For most anglers when under 50ft in dirty water UV is a pretty safe bet.

Is it possible to target Chinooks from shore, somewhere like Garry Point?
@PacificAnglerTV5 ай бұрын
Everything in tight at the mouth of the Fraser is still closed to salmon fishing but we have heard of anglers at low tide off UBC at the mile markers casting from the beach and catching them. It is a big deal when it happens though.
