Excellent review, thank you for showing everything in detail, at first I couldn't understand how the soft box opens, so I ordered Godox, it's more clear there. So far I've bought two 120 W bicolor, is there a difference in the degree of fastening compared to 200 W? I ordered one soft box for 90 cm, the other for 70 cm Godox, I do on-site photography, how reliable are the fastenings on these devices?

Thanks for watching. I'm not sure I understand what you mean by degree of fastening, do you mean the bowens mount and how secure it is? it will hold any light modifier/softbox that uses bowens mount. If you are using very large softboxes, it will hold them but I would just make sure to really tighten the locking knob so it doesn't sag/tilt. Both units are quite small compared to other LED lights of the same output so putting very large softboxes probably isn't ideal, but you can do it but I would not want to put that much stress on the mounts all the time, but it really depends on the weight of the softboxes and how long they are, so for example deep parabolic softboxes are longer than other softboxes, so those would be the most problematic but shorter ones might be fine.

I gotta say, you did an amazing job! Only thing is, the background music was a bit too loud, so it was a bit tough to hear you at times. No biggie though! Keep up the great work, and can’t wait to see more from you. Wishing you all the best with your channel! 👍

Thanks for the compliment A-Mana, yes you're correct, I typically listen from my mac with external speakers so it sounded fine on there but watching on iphone, the background music is quite loud. I'll definitely keep that in mind for the next video. Cheers, and thanks for watching.

Great Review! I had a couple Qs for you about the 200W light: Is the fan overly noisy? Is the bowens mount sturdy enough do you think for one of the larger softboxes? Does the light actually live up to the brightness specifications its advertised as having?

Hey, thanks for watching. The fan is pretty quiet, I had it running for 15minutes at 100% brightness and could faintly hear it from 3-4 meters away with no other noise present. You'd only really hear it more if you were close and put your ear closer to it so it's not really an issue. In terms of the bowens mount, I just tested it with a 60cm Lantern softbox and a 38" deep parabolic softbox (70cm long), it can handle both modifiers just fine, although I would say that because it is a smaller unit and the locking knob and L-bracket (yolk) is smaller than other bigger lights, I personally probably wouldn't be putting that big of a softbox (deep parabolic) on it that often, maybe just on occasion, just because over time I think it's not good to put so much stress on it, but saying that I'm just more cautious of a person, but short answer is yes it would be able to hold larger softboxes, but not too large. I don't own a light meter, so can't give you actual readings or technical info, but just doing a test with one of my other 200w bicolour lights I own (Jinbei EFII 200), it looks pretty much the same for brightness, maybe even a tad brighter so I'd say the LUX amounts they've listed are correct. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the honest review! I noticed you have a little bit of backlight bleeding in the bottom of the screen to the right side. I've just got the same monitor and mine has it too but on the left side. What are your thoughts on this issue? Bad quality control or just the way the technology is? This is my first experience with this type of monitors and it makes me sad seeing the imperfections on such a nice screen

I'm not really seeing it sorry, either that or I am not noticing it as much as you are. It may just be some artifacts popping up in the video from youtube compressing the video. I'm pretty sure there's no bleeding happening but if there is, it's not currently affecting my daily usage. That said I typically have the lights on in the room so I may not be seeing it because of that.

Can I used BenQ Gw2790Qt for Video Editing & Color Grading ?
@FilmingwithAlf
@FilmingwithAlf Ай бұрын
I haven't had personal experience with this monitor, but looking at the specs from the BenQ website, I personally would rather go with a 4k monitor at the minimum and not 2k. Also, the colour gamuts for this monitor only cover s-RGB and Rec.709 so it's not designed for professional colour grading, you'd want Adobe RGB and DCI-P3 as well in a monitor. Hope that helps.
