We started with rubber O-rings back in the ‘80s. Some people used big fat rubber bands too. I think the racquets were even more pingy back then!
@OneMoreBallTennisAcademy9 күн бұрын
I grew up in the late 80s but I do remember using a rubber band. I believe they were a pinky back then the technology in a rackets definitely has gotten better.

The Boom Pro 2024 doesn't need a dampener... it's the more muted racquet on the market

Yes, the Boom is a great racket. The 2024 version is really dope.

I watched this video a few times, At 0:17 you said start with the throat down, I got it. And then at 0:44 you said string down throat is up . I saw string down and the racket throat is down too. What's the difference ? Can you please clarify ? Thanks.
@OneMoreBallTennisAcademy9 күн бұрын
Hey, thanks for pointing out. That was a mess up by me what I meant to say is keep the strings down but I’m making a new video this week with the next GEN forehand. It’s more of pulling the handle away from you instead of having that leg straight to the side of you, I will do a video this week to explain that for the forehand in the backhand. Hope the game you as a subscriber sorry for the confusion.

Decades of hitting with arm only try to find using body weight. On your video you started out with string down, throat is up. I can see it in video strings are down , What exactly is the throat is up ? Please explain. I wish you started from the beginning. But I caught it at 1:15 bonus tip. Good job. Can you please do a complete 2 handed backhand ? I liked and subscribed . Thanks

Hey! I also do video analysis. Send me your video of you hitting on my instagram @ one more ball tennis academy I will do a personal video for you. I have the backhand video coming out Monday! If you hit the bell 🛎️ you will get notified. Ok the throat of the racquet is the small triangle right above the grip. However I have now changed the forehand a little to next gen forehand. I will do a video for you and will be up Monday for you. For this video I started it like this. Trying to get to the point faster in the video and not procrastinating like other KZbinrs do trying to get retention. Thank you for your advice. I will be uploading every other day! I hope to help you improve your game. Tennis coaching is getting way to expensive and people are liking the videos and it’s helping them. Thanks. Your welcome

Per some viewers liking to always call people out. I went deeper and found out that these are the new rules! Yes, there is no limit to the number of vibration dampeners a tennis player can use on their racket according to the International Tennis Federation (ITF). However, dampeners can only be placed outside of the cross strings on the racket's stringbed. Dampeners can be placed anywhere outside the cross strings, including the top, bottom, left, or right of the racket. A common placement is near the bottom of the racket, where the center main string and first cross string meet.
@watchman196911 күн бұрын
About legal or illegal you are wrong! International Tennis Federation (ITF) regulations: dampeners can be placed anywhere desired outside the cross strings (top, bottom, left or right).

Love when you post videos and people are quick to say what the wrong in the video. Instead of stating it in a way that helps the viewer. From my research I have seen per ITF and ATP! You can not place them there. If YOU would like to send evidence of sure my viewers would love that! Thanks for watching!

Some people prefer not to use it because it removes most of the sound feedback. My son plays without one explicitly because of that. I prefer to play with it. But he uses a Wilson 6.1 95 and I play with a PD, so…

Technique not only reason for tennis elbow. You can have firm or dead strings at a high tension with good technique and still get it

Salsa dancers would probably make good tennis players, they have flexible hips. I know I forget the hip rotation with the two handed backhand. Muscular men often have non flexible hips but strong arms and shoulders , so they try to muscle the ball as you describe.
@OneMoreBallTennisAcademy12 күн бұрын
Salsa dancers yess. I have worked with muscular men and they started off 2 handed backhanded. I’ve changed them to 1 handed and it fits a little better for them. Have you tried it?

@@OneMoreBallTennisAcademy I went the other way, my one hander was going to slice on the third set, due to fatigue. I am happy with the two hander but have to get that rotation going.
