As I see the tonearm lift it is not "smooth " at all and drops the arm much too fast. If you want to refill the dashpot please let me know.

Nice tune with some good leading edge sounds, nice mellow jazz, piano hammer sounds are tough to capture and tougher to reproduce

I thought MC cartridges generally require a higher mass tonearm? How do they perform together? Beautiful turntable!

Hi, sorry for very late reply. Yes the cartridge is not match with tone arm. I did install for video shoot. Now it was remove from tonearm and replace with Sh later 201.

I got a Supex SDX2000 MC cartridge on this same tonearm and it’s fantastic. Great match with my Linn.

Great table. I use mine with a Stax UA7cf, AT-ART7 and AT magnesium headshell. I will never sell it, even if I get something better.

I just love my A7 VOTTs, DIY crossovers also and powered by a VTA ST-120 from Bob Latino and built by yours truly. Needless to say they sound AWESOME!!

Bonjour Gérard. En fait le "trou " en partie basse de l'enceinte n'est pas véritablement un évent mais le manque d'une planche. Ces enceintes étaient adaptées in situ avec la paroi qui correspondait à l'application envisagée . Généralement rien n'était mis et ça suffisait bien pour reproduire les "graves" d'une bande optique de cinéma. Je suis d'accord avec toi , c'est difficile d'obtenir le grave dont nous rêvons tous c'est même utopique sans doute avec une enceinte pas prévue pour ça. J'ai beaucoup travaillé sur les A7 et j'ai fais des modifs qui fonctionnent bien même si pour le 32 pieds de Jean Guillou le caisson reste indispensable bien que difficile à raccorder en termes de vitesse avec un 416. J'avais envoyé les aventures d'une modifs : vintage-audio-heritage.fr/viewtopic.php?t=9935 Une petite remarque aussi concernant l'amplification . Nous avions vu avec R. Bassi que pour reproduire la dynamique présente lors de l'enregistrement il fallait quand même de la puissance. Même si le rendement des A7 et des pavillons associés permet de " jouer fort " avec très peu de puissance , retranscrire l'impact sur un tom de Charlie Antolini demande un pet de puissance , pour faire vrais , qu'un SE ne pourra jamais fournir ! Je suis proche de Paris , au plaisir de te rencontrer. Thierry

It's E and GND = Earth and Ground. Normally, there is a thick, S-shaped wire that goes around both connectors.

Beautifully filmed, I have just come into ownership of one of these beautiful turntables in mint condition with the same lovely SME tonearm. One strange part of your video is near the end, where it looks like the record is rotating the wrong way around? Optical illusion or did you run that clip backwards?

Hi, I thing this model is very good turntable. Heavy paltter, stable spin and removeble arm board for any tonearm. And yes, I did backward in edit, so shame :)

I have been eyeing this table for a very long time. A family member had one of these back when I was a child, so I have fond memories of vinyl LP listening on this machine. Beautiful shots in this video!

Le médium est beaucoup en avant , le grave est peu précis , il faut absolument rectifier l'évent qui est beaucoup trop grand , le BR ne marche pas . Si vous mesurez vous verrez une seule bosse d'impédance . Réglez votre évent vous ne reconnaitrez plus vos A7 Bien cordialement. Thierry

C'est difficile d'avoir un vrai grave avec cette enceinte....cest caverneux. Je n'ai jamais réussi avec les miennes , toutefois en haut c'est bon. C'est pour cette raison que je m'en suis séparé. 😭😉

what crossover are you using? tube power the horn and white audio 30w power the bass driver? which crossover to do that?
