It’s a planet Z, not a Z series. It’s still a perfectly playable cymbal despite being one of zildjians cheapest lines though

Thing is, nobody cares anyway. Nobody listening can tell, especially when you got a drummer that only cares about himself being heard, crashing and smashing while mic’d up - they may as well be using the cheapest set on earth!

First of all.. I bet you have the bottom cymbal on the top and the top on the bottom. Secondly. The gap between them is too far apart

i've only been playing drums for a year and i have that hi-hat. it came in a set with a crash and ride. it sounds way better than this video. not sure why yours sounds like that. it might be the way your hit it? you need to practice hitting it and listen to the sound you get. takes a lot of time sounding bad though in order to sound good. keep practicing!

Why is everyone suck a dick on here? I’ve been playing for years so no I’m not a terrible drummer. I just got my first acoustic drum set and I’m having the same issue with my hats. Can someone actually give me advice?

everybody trying to talk about the way hes hitting them. no. those are 100% junk hi hats. i guarantee they came in a bundle with a crash and ride for $250 and they all have that same MIDI clang sound to them. garbage. they'll work for something to hit or practice on, but that's it. they are garbage. every brand has a set too. even paiste.

1. Way to big of a gap between the hihats 2. Planet Z symbols aren't exactly know for being great cymbols, especially for hihats. I had a pair of planet z hihats and they sucked.

Try adjusting the screws and try taking the cymbals of them back on

I'm no expert, but i think the Z series cymbals are for heavy rock music. So they are meant to be played heavy. At low volume they will sound crap. If you want a better quality sound at lower volumes i would suggest something a little thinner, like the K series.

Son para lo que son, sabiendo regularlos suenan decente para practicar y aprender a tocar, si ya tocas bien buscaría otras opciones, yo me compré unos paiste 802 de segunda mano y van de lujo, pero estuve años mientras aprendía con unos que no siquiera tenían marca, y venían en un drum kit chino
