@davidbarr9475 Yes, I'm doing well. I have decided to stop making content for the foreseeable future with no plans to continue as of now. I do still shoot my camera just no longer film it for youtube.My life is just too busy with my children and work. I loved making every video, but it became too time consuming. I appreciate your concern and will leave up the channel for anyone to enjoy the videos i made. Someday i may return to making content, but not any time soon. God bless friend.

Great video and some excellent points! On the pro monopod/tripod side of the debate, it helps with IQ in both low light and long focal distances by reducing camera movement abd therefore shutter speed. Do you absolutley need it - no. But if you want sharper shots at lower ISO’s, it makes a significant difference.

Well, I can say that I am lucky because in Puerto Rico the Osprey eagles migrate from the USA to a wetland that is 10 minutes from my house and I always see them.

I had the original single version with the steel frame plawn chair over that scissoring style camp chair. I used to seal mine annually with silicone with UV protection. Mine never leaked during hundreds of hours of hunting in the rain in Inndiana . Your zippers will be fine !

Such a relatable video, for me personally. I have the same RP & Sigma setup and over the past couple of years I learned of my L4-L5 lower back issues that greatly limit my walking. A Jeep TJ Wrangler fell into my lap and it really helps me get closer to nature and its subjects! Thanks for the motivation, to not let the weather keep me in the house!!

EXCELLENT! I always buy used, especially as prices drop when new models come out. For example, I bought a Canon R6 used when prices dropped after Canon released the R6 Mark2. I am also an introvert and enjoy solo wildlife photography here in Montana.

The 10 year old Canon 7D MK 2 fitted with 100-400mm remains a potent wildlife camera. Weather sealed, dual CF & SD card slots, 160-640mm equivalent reach and damn near indestructible.

It's literally is the gear and the operator. We really need folks to stop pretending otherwise. The World including most doing photographer would be better far off it they did. There is nothing Wrong with anyone wanting to use older GEAR and their equally nothing wrong with those that prefer the latest and greatest GEAR. So whatever it takes for that person to enjoy their hobbies.

Kevin: Another great video, it is not the gear, it is the operator. Tuesday morning, I was out shooting the Aurora with a 10, 7 and a 1.5 year old cameras. My flagship was a spare. Sometimes the older gear works better than the newest stuff for sale at your camera store. Out of 700+ shots, I narrowed it down to 7 and sent them to Jeff for viewing on Saturday night. I say get out and shoot for the experience, if I get one good shot that is great, if I don't get a good shot, that is okay too. I treat photography as an experiment. sometimes, you succeed, sometimes you fail and you try again. I succeed more often, now. Keep up the great work. I enjoy watching your videos. See you Saturday night?

Another good one. How are you liking the R7 compared to your other camera?
@KevinNordstrom5 ай бұрын
It's holding up well. No issues. However, it lacks what hopefully the r7mk2 will be with a better buffer and a battery grip. I have no regrets backing out on the r5mk2 and getting the r7. I took the difference and took the family on vacation, and put away some for the r7mk2.

Nature and wildlife photgraphy has been so healing and relaxing for me after dealing with much stress. So grateful I found my way back to this hobby 4 years ago. As a 15 yr old I made my own darkroom in a closet, borrowed an old machine from the 50/60s, got all the chemicals and developed my own film and photos. This was in the late 80's. Then with school, college and everything else I just drifted away from it. And now decades later it's giving me so much again. Love the channel - you seem like a great dude. Keep up the great work - cheers from Sweden.
