I love my 2021 430i BMW. The grill is awesome and sets it apart from the other BMWs. This guy is wrong.

Omg, you confirmed all my thoughts exactly!! 2 days ago as I was shopping online, I suddenly found myself on the market for a "newer".. a 2022 or 2021 4 series and was thinking the 430i was the right price point. But I couldn't get over how Toyota-like it looked from the side. Plain Jane boring lines from the sides .. and then that ridiculous grille.. jeez (to be fair, I've been shopping for aftermarket options to switch-up that grille business, but then that's not cheap either lol). I mean, just look up the "ADRO BMW Grille". Did that iteration really not strike anyone's brain at the bmw design studio? Really?? Regular Joe designers can make the beautiful ADRO grille, but Chris Bangle Butt and all these others here now.. this is all they can come up with? I came over to YT and this was the first 430i video that drew my attention. You hit EVERY nail on the head. And yeah, ever since the first time I saw the size of the bezels on the screen on a 2016 X1, It became my biggest pet-peeve .. like C'MON BMW, are you being serious right now?! I guess they just don't have any pride anymore.. or even shame for that matter. Anyway, thanks for the concise and honest reporting. Great vid

On the Rex model, expect the fuel pump relay to fail. (combustion engine won’t start). The relay costs 20$. Mine has 50000 and will never sell it and I think it looks great. The white one is the most elegant

Sorry if your buying it for the brand the non kidney grille will never make it, just as much as an outdated color on a new model. I have to visually like what I see. I'm sure it performs just fine, but if I don't like it, I don't like it.

ik this is an old video but it came across my feed because I' just bought a 2017 rex. It's arriving tomorrow and I'm really excited bro. Funny thing is that this was the color I was gonna go with at first until I couldn't find one at carmax without paying shipping fee, but found a gray/silver one. thanks for this video man! made me really excited to start driving mine :0) and I work at the pizza place in that same plaza...probably gonna charge it at that same spot hahahaha

Really useful review Ray. I’ve owned 20 BMWs and apart from a 740i Sport Individual, I bought them all second hand and avoided a huge amount of deprecation over 40 years of driving. Im going to buy an i3 later this year when a lot of lease deals come to fruition as I’d like 42kwh model without the REX (a petrol engine disqualifies cars in many ways) but with a sunroof and all the kut you mentioned plus a heat pump. Hope to get a three year old one for £16,000 ($20k). Subbed Cheers Geoff (UK)

I went to Sizzler and ordered a steak and it was actually pretty good. But every time I go to Mastro's steakhouse in Beverly Hills and order their Wagyu rib eye steak, it's always much bigger, and better tasting than the Sizzler's steak. So that makes the Sizzler steak trash! When I want to eat a steak, I want it to be the best steak I can buy and not worry about how much it's going to cost me. Yeah, I know some people might really like Sizzler steaks, and even thought it's actually a good steak for the price for most people who can't afford to go go Mastro's, the Sizzler steak compared to Mastro's steak, is still trash! I'll never understand why people just can't afford to pay and extra $30+K for a Mastro's Wagyu rib eye and have to settle for a trash Sizzler steak instead (even though after I actually ate the Sizzler steak I thought it was actually pretty good)?

I have bad news for you you better brush up on BMW history. The BMW 430 M sport package is incredibly agile and although it won't set an acceleration record it's certainly respectable. 300 foot pounds of torque at 1500 RPMs incredible. Early 1970's 2002 put them on the map with almost no horsepower. I truly appreciate a somewhat affordable car that has looks and performance that doesn't break the bank. The majority of people don't have 100k for a M model or 70k plus for a m440. I think it's a fantastic car at its price point.

You are right about the "tame" feeling, I went for a test drive last night and boy! what a slow car! I seen some race chips out there that improves the shifting points and increase the HP to 300 so I guess is a bit worth it for the entry level BMW newbie. Pedal commander and a race chip def will wake up this car.

Ray Syd, excellent video and portrayal of the i8. I bought one in September, 2020. It is a 2019 Roadster and like James says below, I'm love struck with this car. I've owned and driven a lot of different cars in my 66 years, but this one takes the cake. It's just so damn fun to drive and it's like 4 different cars. People who have never driven one won't ever get it, other than most of them are plussed with how she looks. Thanks for sharing your impressions!

LEDs flickering is a common issue on i3. The climate control module need to be disassembled and the individual LEDs inside need to be replaced with more durable ones. I don’t know about the US, but in the UK there are specialized shops that will do this job via mail order

Nice video. I wish car review guys would put their height weight, year of birth in the About section of their page so we can determine how much room is in the car without being there. Age is really subjective but can kinda put you in a classic gauge of your need for speed.

If another person is at fault for hitting your car, you can request for their insurance to pay damages in lost wages, as well as the damages to your car. Just had my car rear-ended on a trip and my car was down hard for 3 months. So, file for damages and request damages in lost wages for the time your car was gone (it’s best to wait until you know when you are getting your car back for sure). If the insurance company doesn’t respond to your request, send them a demand letter from an attorney. This is not legal advice, just letting you know what worked for me. Also, they (the insurance company) asked me for at least 90 days of my previous earnings.

I really like the new grill! Looks aggresive and modern! Makes the smaller grill Beemers look dated! I will say that the new grill looks way better without a license plate!
