There’s a couple ways to fix this. You can edit those entity’s in external files or programs to not exist. You can copy the file and run it on a more powerful computer until finished, copy that and use that. You can also create a copy of the world before doing anything insane like this, especially if it’s a 2 year old world, in my opinion this is worse then death because you lose everything, including the builds and memory’s.

Yeah I mean googling won’t help because no one is probably insane enough to do this on a single player world and most servers can almost definitely handle this, since they don’t have to have players on to let the blocks fall and therefore don’t waste half their processes trying to render them. Within world files, while I’m not sure where to find this specifically, there’s definitely somewhere he can delete entities currently on the ground or falling, reopen the world, and however much water was drained is drained and he knows never to do that again. The world isn’t lost he just doesn’t have a problem that google is going to have a solution for at the very least not one very high up in search results.

He could just modify the game to not render falling sand entity and it would fix it, all he would need to do is let it all finish then turn rendering back on and relog.

Isnt there save.old file that he can just rename and lose like 20 min of progress? Thats what I did with my corrupted hardcore save and it worked, although some chinks did get messed up
