I’d rather train too hungry, than too full. Oatmeal (for me) just doesn’t digest well, leaves me bloated and drowsy.

@@MansaXfor me 3 hours before lifting is ideal, but I’m with you- I cannot train super full eating chicken and rice in the car outside the gym. What I started doing is bringing my (healthy) shake into the gym, and start drinking when I’m like 1/3 finished w/ workout for some energy.

Gratitude for the tips Ron.👌 I wait 2 hys after my breakfast to workout. When i first started working out, I would eat and immediately start training since i have a home gym. I almost always felt nauseous about half way through. I then found out that I should wait at least 1-2hrs for food to digest, no more nauseous feeling. Like you say here, definitely save your bigger meal for after the workout. 👍

Well, this recipe is too high in calories for tooooooo little protein (around 50 gms). I know the intention is bulking here but I would expect at least 80-90 grams of protein for nearly a 900 calorie drink. I would ditch the olive oil and use peanut butter instead for more protein, and full fat Greek yogurt or muscle milk to blend instead of water. Pure fat is absolutely useless for muscle bulking.
