Back in the day an old friend of mine was a boffin in the lubricants Dept of the old British Rail Technical Centre in Derby. He swore by Millers oils and would put nothing else in his car engines. After reeling off pages of technical stuff ( completely beyond me ) I decided to do the same. I’ve never regretted it. Happy motoring.

Have always tried to support millers where i can, using their oils in many performance cars..... However im currently using xf premium 0w 40 in a high performance car and i can't get a definitive answer on wether its suitable for LSPI protection or not even from the helpline, unfortunately I'll be going back to 0w 40 Edge shorty if i get no answers or can't get info online

Anyone interested in oil should look up and read about what Millers ND oil has achieved in independent testing as well as the awards they've won for the Nano Drive oil. It transformed the supercharged V8 in my Jag. It felt more like a performance mod, instead of just fresh oil. Revs much faster, lights up the back tires much easier and pulls much harder on the highway. The stuffs no joke and certainly not remotely snake oil.

The gear oil is unreal. Took 1st place beating out the KERS system as much significant new racing product of the year when they first released it. I was pissed a gear oil won because I thought the KERS system was wet dream cool. Except I can purchase and use the Millers ND oil in all my cars and bikes. Now I'm pretty damn happy with them winning. Blows Mobile 1 away. Not even comparable.

Just recently put this millers nanodrive 75w 90 gearbox oil in my astra g 2.0 sri 1999 F-23 gearbox for the first time. It even specifies this oil for my f-23 www.courtenaysport.co.uk/ on their website so thought i will give it a try. Immediately after putting this into my car it started leaking on the first journey from the bottom of the bellhousing on the gearbox. My car was perfect and leak free beforehand and i have put my old gearbox oil back in and has reduced the leak,but still leaks a little after 2 weeks since putting back in the old comma gearbox oil. Its now leaks an estimated 10ml a day,when the millers was in it leaked many times this amount. Im having to buy some gearbox treatment now to try and stop this leak. £37 i paid for 2 litres of millers gearbox oil as well. I noticed it is a lot thinner grade as well compared the comma fully synthetic that has come out even though its the same grade 75w 90. I have used castrol syntrans fully synthetic 75w 90 as well in the past and that was ok too with no problems. I'll be buying from these well known top branded company's in future that's for sure.

1066gaz yo must have a bad oil seal in the gearbox
@1066gaz5 жыл бұрын
@@johnmetrac2898 Yes it is bad now i put the millers in. Beforehand my car was leak free. It started to leak on the first run after putting in the millers. Perfect job done as well with 1.8 litres gone in. Been fixing cars 30 years and never had this problem before. You need to investigate your oil.
@johnmetrac28985 жыл бұрын
1066gaz yes that is strange but has you say the millers oil was thinner that might have been something to do with it I’ve never used there gear oil , only engine oil 5/30 for my t5 transporter and it’s fine , i always use Lucas gear oil that is the best by miles 👍

@@johnmetrac2898 my reply from yesterday was deleted by youtube for some reason john Strange. Berfore that i got a quick power cut just as a finished writing a reply to you and not saved it haha. The moral of the story is stick to what works best for you and don't chop & change. Anyway hopefully the leak of mine will stop.

Yeah, I love this stuff. I just bought Miller's Oil for my MR2 (and other cars) on principle. The announcer kept commenting on how great the racing was for these two rounds. Uh, yeah. Maybe 'cause the weather wasn't sh** for once? :-D With the motor being mounted a bit high (near or above the beltline) and flat out racing with amateurs in the wet, there's bound to be spins and some great offs. Great stuff!

I hope some of those drivers got some pointers for next time. Driving in the wet in any mid engine car is challenging, but no need for it to be dangerous. If you're going off, go slower.

We would be delighted to organise a race between your grandma as the MR2s. Has she passed her ARDS test? If she has not then how about a race against "that girl" in F2 stock cars? And just to level the playing field, your gran has to prepare the car, meaning change bits of the engine and diff. Millers chose to support a grass roots Motorsport series, to give it some publicity and show people how to get started in Motorsport.
