I remember when Great Adventure was one of the top roller coaster parks in the country, especially in the 2000s when they were adding some of the best coasters in the world. Now, hearing that they’re closing two roller coasters in one year feels so bittersweet. It’s sad to see how far they’ve fallen.

although it was a good ride (to some people), it has to go to leave a Blank Space for future coasters. I really hope that whatever coaster is replacing Green Lantern will live up to the Reputations of the previous coaster on the empty plot.

honestly its insane how, almost 25 years on, the ride has aged really well, and the slow, building lift has gone from a normal course of order, to one of the tallest rides with a traditional chain lift (or am i wrong?) and the 50 second climb has become even more rare and creates so much (good) anxiety
