Interesting topic. Very timely. I'm looking for answers about the topic this week. Sense of awareness to our self and to our community found in the whole chapter of Romans chapter 12. Tsk. God is amazing! 🙏

The mission is the people. I have been thinking more about "what is mission" for quite some time and this sums it up perfectly and succinctly it's funny now how I have never come to articulate it this way haha. Thank you for sharing this good conversation!

How can i get this bible study?
@inVerseBible8 күн бұрын
You can access these immediately online for free at www.inversebible.org/rtm. For good mobile reading you can also download the official Sabbath School app at www.adventech.io. You can also order physical copies at your nearest Adventist Book Center or through your local conference (of the Seventh-day Adventist Church). For North America, subscriptions can be ordered online at adventistbookcenter.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=inverse.

Praise God for this study! I just want clarification on this statement by Israel. "God gave Jesus the ability and power to create"??? Doesn't that contradict Jesus as God?
@inVerseBible9 күн бұрын
Thank you for this careful observation. Perhaps Israel was thinking about the verses that describe the Father creating through or by Jesus (Col. 1:16; Heb. 1:1, 2). But you are right that we should be careful what we mean by that. We do not want to say it in a way that detracts from Jesus being God or having the power to create. The Bible teaches that Jesus was both with God and was God (John 1:1). For a powerful inVerse Bible study about the divinity of Jesus, check out a more recent episode titled, "God Incarnate." You can watch it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bXKWnYiZZauXadE

@@inVerseBible Thank you for that clarity. I have completed watching the series on the 'Gospel of John' and deeply appreciated the discussions. I've binge-watched many of the series on a 1.5x speed (lol) and it's hard to pick out a favorite episode or series as all of them are very deep studies. But I do have to say that I love seeing Siku on the set. All your thoughts are powerful but hers is exceptional and she articulates so well, bringing out her points clearly. Praise God for her ministry!

That's impressive to see how God is always ready to be understanding with us. Elijah's story makes us feel loved and watched by God in every basic way and even when we don't know how to stand up or when we will be ready again HE is still there just waiting. Of course we'll need to make a decision at some point, but there is no rushing up from God. 🥲♥️

I found Mondays study interesting what do people think about this . Especially where it says some mental conditions may not be healed in this lifetime .Needs clarifying No mental or emotional mountain is so big that God is unable to help and heal. It should be noted that the brain is not detached from the body; the brain is part of the body. Like other physical illnesses, some mental conditions may not be healed in this life. And yet in every case, God’s grace is sufficient.

Renewing the mind needs to be moment by moment, beyond just being daily. Especially the mind affected by social media, extreme screen time, and intense media/movies. We have to guard the mind. Where the mind goes, the man follows. (Not sure where i hesrd that ending quote).

Why do we expect a Roman politician to have integrity when Christ's own Apostles didn't? Judas betrayed Christ. Peter denied Christ three times and the rest abandoned him in His greatest need for support. The Jewish leaders who had all the scripture and prophets rejected and plotted His murder. Yet we somehow expect Pilate to rise to the occasion. Pilate was not a believer. He may have not (though unlikely) even heard of Jesus before then. Yes, he had self-interest, as a Roman official in charge of a chaotic area of Palestine any failer to meet Caesar's expectations could lead to his own execution. So, yeah, The Sanhedrin's thinly veiled threat to go to Caesar would make the outcome of this itinerant preacher a survival choice of "Him or me.". I'm not condoning what he did. At the very least he sent an innocent man to his death (regardless of the fact that that man was Jesus).
