One can also say that many Hindu composers avoided Rafi Sahab during the last ten years of his short but glorious career. One can argue that it was a major loss for all the fans. Naushad composed Bhagwan in Baiju Bawra which is undeniably accepted by every major singer including Kishore Da that only Rafi Saab could have sung those high notes in rhythm without changing the pitch or intensity. Kishore Da had great songs of a different genre composed by RD Burman. Both had their fame at different times and both singers had immense respect for each other. I am a Hindu and I am proud to say that I respect Naushad Sahab as one of the greatest ever composers and Rafi Sahab as a trailblazer in playback singing in Hindi music.
