What would you recommend for drafting doll clothes patterns?

TurboCAD; Designer (not DesignCAD). Absolute easiest program. I've been using it since 1998. Tested everything else ... nowhere near as easy.

the same, the size is not important, you can work in millimetters, so you can work as small as you want

I use Clo and love it. However it is more to test, adjust and alter existing patterns and to visualise them. And it is great for experimenting. However. without having fundamental knowledge of patternmaking, you will not obtain results, that are really usful in real life. I have seen some examples, that looked awesome at first sight, but when seeing the pattern displayed next to it, I am often like: "Sorry, nice try, but this will never work. I have been into pattern making for around 40 years. I started my digital journey using Inkscape. In between I wanted to switch to a specialized professional pattern making software (Fashion Express) which ended having thrown 2500 bucks out of the window. After that I was reluctant for any other expensive experiments. I have worked with Inkscape (for those, who are not familiar, it is a vector graphic programm similar to Illustrator, but free) for more than 10 years and found my own tricks and ways to make it work for me, so I decided to stick to it. BTW Grafis is a professional pattern making software, that is pretty popular also. There are also free pattern making softwares like Valentina and Seamly2d . Perhaps you might want to look into those as well 😊

Gerber Accumark is the best in my opinion, it has everything include 3D tools.
