Same here, bro! Also, for this subconscious game's stuff here, Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80s reused it for this set as well, bro

Ohhhhhh I’ve been looking for this video for long time. I saw it when I was on sick leave from high school and took some medication which had a weird effects on me and even though I knew this song before I had never hit me properly but at the time the song hits me naturally coming through me as if water. Thanks for the great upload !!

It would have been euphoric to have been at this concert... The musicians are all so fucking great! Ornette never disappoints.

On its original recording this piece is called "Theme From a Symphony". The ALBUM is called "Dancing in Your Head". I was working at a record store when this first came in. It blew me away.

I don’t know how to describe Ornette Coleman’s playing. It’s organized disorganization. It’s like he’s playing the wrong notes correctly. It gets to you emotionally.

It's now 2022, I really miss this gig, playing with my USAF band members. Josh Holdridge and Marshall Gentry. We were just having fun playing bebop jazz in a Japanese mall. I was stationed at Yokota AB from 2002 to 2006. It was a life changing assignment

I'm a retired pediatrician due to a stroke, but I won't deny that my first passion was instrumental music as an alto, tenor and baritone sax player. I so very much love music, and in my makeshift sound room/ guest bedroom, I experience my own form of stress reduction, mental health, music therapy. Now David Sanborn has and will always be my favorite sax player, hands down. His talent level is just at a whole other amazing level!

@MrAdamNTProtester4 жыл бұрын
I saw these guys LIVE... it was awesome... Herbie played a keyboard type guitar like you see at 3: 55 only standing up with him & Pat trading licks back & forth for like 20 min it was INSANE.... Dejohnette = great drummer & Dave holland was excellent bassist for this iteration of the band LIVE! Good Times for sure!

The sax sounds cheap. Maybe his embouchure, or a soft reed. I don’t know. But sounds poor.

$8,000 sax, a 1971, Selmer Mark 6, with Morgan 9J hard rubber .110" totally acoustic, the reed was hard as hell, a Vandoren Java 3.5, and it was my best reed, getting played alot, this was also recorded on a 2003 camera, not a professional recording by any meaning......the mall was totally full of echo. It was a great crowd of Japanese shoppers.

there has always been debate on the quality of Ornette's Trumpet and Violin. He used these instruments mostly for sounds and textures, and not for real musical creation. But WHAT A SAXOPHONIST HE REALLY WAS!!!
@shapecatfilms75925 жыл бұрын
I agree. I think the violin and trumpet experiments were (in theory) better suited to the studio where a bit more control and post-production could be applied to them. But on stage what you see is what you get and you can see the his limitations on those instruments a lot more.

on day in 1986, ı heard him play incredible Charlie Parker alone in his room for 45 minutes. All incredible Bird with not a single note of himself, I waited outside of his door until he finished and he opened the door and asked why ı didn't come in? ı said ı couldn't interrupted that and asked him why he doesn't do that in front of audiences to stop all these arguments about him to which he calmly replied ' Murat, that's not my job.
