Danny provides fascinating songwriting tips! His monetization strategy would be particularly useful to those songwriters who don't intend to become artists themselves.

if that's true about small bump then the song kind of sounds like he's taunting his friend with what could have happened if she didnt get a miscarriage. correct if im wrong, but if thats the case it sounds horrible :(

@ 5:47 minutes... 10 hands 10 feet. Don't babies have 2 feet 2 hands? Don't you mean 10 fingers (2 thumbs) 10 toes?
@songwritersinternational924014 күн бұрын
Hey Ivan, ha 🤣 thank you for the correction. It was meant to be "10 fingers, 10 toes" not 10 hands, 10 feet, that would be crazy. Hope you enjoyed the video my friend.

In the quantum field, all the possibilities are existing, all at once. They are just waiting for you to observe them long enough in order for them to go from a quantum wave to the 3d reality. The quantum wave is waiting for you to observe it long enough to collapse into the 3d Hopefully I will keep observing this video long enough to have hit songs 5 years?

Hi Danny. Interesting video as always. A couple of observations though. The chorus of 'Taste' reminds me quite strongly of that of 'I touch myself' by Divinyls. It has the same kind of 'spike' as Divinyls do on the words 'about you' - kzbin.info/www/bejne/raeQZGetbdB6hq8 With SC, she does similar on the title word 'taste', which I admit is quite clever :). The whole thing has a bit of a chorus effect 80s kind of vibe to me, and the keyboard post chorus hook is also reminiscent of - kzbin.info/www/bejne/e4GyeoZrqcakd5o and at 9 seconds in - kzbin.info/www/bejne/b5OXd5Kmpc-hgbc Co-incidence? I know it's hard to be 100% original, but it seems nicking from 1980s pop hits is quite a thing at the mo?

Verse -- focus on words, so could have much more simple music, even a static melody (also could have narrower dynamic range and pitch range); these leaves room to contrast this with a melodic chorus where you don't have to hang on every word.
@songwritersinternational92403 ай бұрын
thank you for sharing - completely right - the key is creating contrast in our songs, melodically, lyrically, musically and so on. Great thoughts.

Good content bro. Keep doing it. What’s your best advice in my case; I want to speak, don’t sing. To use melody in my talk delivery? Excersice, strategies? Etc
@songwritersinternational92404 ай бұрын
Thanks Carlos. Yeah in theory you would look to still use the same concept. You would still create tension & release with your voice, sorting the delivery vs increasing the power in your delivery in sections.

So I’m writing my first song. It pop/chill edm. I have the melody and lyrics for the chorus but I’m having trouble coming up with the verses. Any tips?
@songwritersinternational92406 ай бұрын
Hey Denny, my first tip would be to plan out the song before you write. Identify what you're actually trying to say in the verse. After this say it in the simplest way then you can expand on the lyric to add more detail/add more imagery, make sense?
@by_OST1N6 ай бұрын

Interesting analysis! I’ve never thought about in those terms: Static, phrase variation then spikes. I usually think meloncholy, tension/ then release. Similar 👍
