I was attempting to put mint on my same surface but it keeps giving me errors and sitting on the mint load screen. The first issue I was running into was the encryption I removed that and then I used advanced restart to load from the USB but still errors

Tks for the detailed walk-trough. I've installed ubuntu 22.04 (SF PRO7) and the keyboard and trackpad work by default. So should I start with the second part (Touch drivers) or should I do the entire process Once again thx!

does this secure boot thing work ? I have to disable security in bios otherwise booting fails

So I followed everything you said, and on the test Multitouch worked, but after the install it just doesn't, any idea what could have gone wrong? Also my pen doesn't work either

Make sure ur Linux version is 22.04 Ubuntu. I tried other districts. They don’t necessarily work. Otherwise, try again. If it doesn’t work you could take a look at the websites I included under discussion. There are ppl talking about how to resolve their specific issues there.

Do you use 2x scaling or fractional? Is it comfortable to use with scaling at all? How about cameras, do they work?

I used no scaling. No, camera doesn't work.

Actually I used 2x scaling. It feels natural. Noticed no slow down

What is battery life like ? And ho does pen works compared to windows ?

Battery life is alright (better than running windows). The pen is not as sensitive as on windows, but still usable. I would recommend keeping a windows partition if you use hand written note taking very heavily
