Warm Fuzzy Sheep

We are a homeschooling family with 6 kids! who love Jesus and like to simplify and streamline our activities to try and fully enjoy life and focus on what matters most. We love to eat clean, whole foods that are also budget-friendly, wheat-free, and mostly dairy-free, especially for our oldest, who is on the spectrum. We give A LOT of responsibility to each child to pick up after themselves, prepare their breakfasts and lunches, help keep the house cleanER (than a zoo?), and really think about how their actions are affecting others and who they are becoming by practicing those actions. We pray daily and try not to lose our tempers (we are not doing too badly considering how many drama kings and queens live here, including Mom and Dad! LOL). Most of all, we want to live our lives for our King, considering what He thinks about all we do. We are His warm fuzzy sheep.

I click on this video to get ideas for CC review sessions that we're doing on Zoom. And very fittingly, there is a game called "Pandemic Jr." (Hmm, will the CC moms in my community have enough of a sense of humor for the inclusion of this game?)

Thank you for the great ideas. I'll be tutoring 9 & 10 year olds this year and I've tutored most of them in the past, so these new games will be very much welcomed. And I love the simplicity of them. I think Pandemic Jr will go over really well with the boys. Thanks!

The first game was not clear. Could you elaborate, please?

Sure! Basically, you ask them a memory question (you can roll dice to determine which subject and week to ask) and if they get the answer right, the teacher gets a hangman part (or the other team). If they get the answer wrong, the students get a hangman part. (Or team A versus team B). Whichever team ends up with all the hangman parts (head, body, legs, etc.) loses. Does that help?

How does this work for kids who are going for Memory Master? Do they need this introduction to remember the sentences?

I HIGHLY recommend using introductions like these for a memory master. When they hear the subject, they will be more likely to recall the song quickly. You go, girl!
