Very nice flute, which looks a bit like mine (Denner by Etienne Holmblat). It changes from the very (too) open flutes of Ernst Meyer! Thank you so much for sharing ! 😉

Thanks for the kind words! As for the Telemann Fantasia: you are absolutely right. We often experiment with improvised preludes to pieces, and very regularly reminiscences of other repertoire comes to mind on the spot. The borrowing of musical fragments from other composers was a practice that Handel often engaged in himself, so this is an extension of a 18th century 'musicking' (acknowledgement to Christopher Small) practice.

This countertenor has a gourgeous and a rare timbre, because it is clearly distinguishable from the timbre of an alto (except in te higher notes), without, however, being confused with that of a tenor.

Beautiful playing. Really like the quality of the sound and from a technical point of view the recording is impeccable. but there is one piece advice I absolutely need to get out of my system: in the long notes of the opening movement all the closing are "too nice" or almost in an diminuendo, so all the beautiful moments where a long note goes into a dissonance are lost and with them all the drama within the piece is gone. Working out that detail will take this performance from been nice to an outstanding level. Hope it helps.
