Sorry, missed you live, but caught up mow, like button ticked, yearly subs paid, and a restful evening tonight, following your suggestion of a drink in hand while enjoying the sounds of a hotel cocktail bar. Takes me back to the days, when I employed an organist in the lounge, five nights a week in Southport.

I really loved the arrangement of the Rose, and is one of Susan's favourite tunes. Perhaps we could tackle it in a piano lesson one day please Tom? All the best. Keith.

Thank you for your demonstration and explanation! I have understood that theatre pipe organ imitates the sound of all wind and bowed stringed musical instruments by wind pressure. It not only imitates the sound bowed strings and wind instruments but also the sound of percussion instruments which is electro accoustically operated unlike electronic keyboard which electronically imitates.

Hi, I was wondering what your method was for adding repeat dots to printed music when there are both vocal and piano staves and little room to add the double bar lines and dots. Would you simply bracket the section to be repeated and avoid adding the dots, or would you place them elsewhere (say on the spaces between the staves) Many thanks.
@KeyboardSkillsPro7 күн бұрын
Hello I used Sibelius so like most score notation software there is a bar line library. Simply add the repeat bar lines at the end of the section you wish to repeat. If you are repeating say 8 bars, the repeat marks go at the start and end (or at the end of a 1st time bar(s) line). If repeating back to the start you only need them at the end of the section.
@miketurnbull43337 күн бұрын
@@KeyboardSkillsPro Hiya, yeah I was asking about printed music, not scoring on notation software :)
@KeyboardSkillsPro6 күн бұрын
Sorry, misread - yes just simply add to the side of the music, squeeze is on the score if you can, but I often just scribble a big thin/think repeat bar line in the margin!

I am trying to learn this piece. My problem is that hands separate everything is OK. But when I want to play them together, my left hand immediately stops and just cannot do it. Is there a way to fix this - in general? Hands together is a problem for me and I can`t seem to improve.

Once you've got both hands down, put together slowly, counting the beat of the music, perhaps use a metronome? ------------ Like my channel? Support by becoming a Keyboard Skills Pro Mega Fan or via Patreon: www.patreon.com/keyboardskillspro

Great deep dive on this piece! I certainly appreciate this video. The sheet music I have for this is slightly different on the LH 4th bar chord. It a B rather than a D which I'm guessing is a different inversion? Not sure what's the 'official' version for ABRSM?
@KeyboardSkillsProАй бұрын
Glad it was helpful! Yes there are some variations - the exam board version will either be in the piano grade book - or, if it is in the supplemental piece list, the edition you need to use will be listed there.
