In the control volume analysis, the initially the fluid is in fact stationary. The tank is connected to the vane and hence part of the system. The only effect is the fluid moving out. This causes reaction force.

Visocity resistance the flow so, Dynamic viscosity should inverse of velocity of flow then" how with increase of velocity increase the momentum diffusivity", because with increase velocity dynamic viscosity should less and hence KV should less , KV less means momentum diffusivity lesss, please clear it...
@APEXMangalore Жыл бұрын
Dynamic Viscosity is not a function of velocity. It is a fluid property.

Hi ananth, i have a doubt. In som biswas rate of angular deformation i.e. rate of shear strain is alpha plus beta. But in sengal and johns it is given half of aplha plus beta. Can you please explain the concept. Is it rate of angular deformation and rate of shear strain are both different terms..
@APEXMangalore Жыл бұрын
The rate of shear strain given in Cengel in my opinion may be wrong. In SOM and Biswas, they have derived it and the derivation seems to be right for me. They have calculated from the first principles. But when the velocity gradient tensor is decomposed into symmetric and skew symmetric components there is a half coming. This you can see in page 144 of Prof. Biswas' book.
