The core of the game is the mindset of "where the set will go and what attack the hitter will do". If we add something to tell you "he's gonna do this", you can just counter it and the game would be way too easy for the defense part :/ You have to check if the hitter is close enough to the net to do super spike and if he is and you think he's gonna do it, just block and enjoy the monster block :)
@bridishbirb
@bridishbirb Күн бұрын
I disagree, blocking as mentioned requires picture perfect inputs for it to either kill or rebound in a way that you can pick up easily. Anything short of that the ball either gets through or is so close to the floor that you can't get it in time. So if the block doesn't work you're then forced to play a 50/50 game: "will he super or not". It isn't fun not having a way to defend especially if you commit block a quick, as that is the only genuine way to shut those out. Not asking for much, adding a way for you to react to what is going on is basic game design. There's a reason people get annoyed at RNG. Even if it's a short effect at least I have a chance. As someone mentioned to me before, it's a game about reaction time, there's no reacting to anything with that.

@@bridishbirb If a hitter do super spike and there is a blocker in front of him, it will be a monster block (except if the hitter has way more strength than the blocker). "It isn't fun not having a way to defend" YOU HAVE but like you said, it is 50/50. Actually, it's even more than that because the hitter can tip the ball. In real volleyball, if you have a nice set close to the net with no blocker, it's almost a guarantee to make the point except if the defender predict where you'll aim. This is exactly the same here. The game would be boring if you could defend anything. Rallies are fun when they are rare. If you don't like super spike (undefendable attacks), try to play with low characteristics players (low jump). I think it could help you to understand how boring it is when the defense is easier than the attack part.

@@chocabyss "The game would be boring if you could defend anything" huh..? You're telling me that having a way to react to something, would make the game boring? I beg to differ I say it would make it even more satisfying. e.g at 5:20 I react to the block and the fact that I didn't switch up the attack. Saving the kill and undoing my mistake. That quick reaction = insane fucking satisfaction and hype, and yet it'd be boring to stop a split second super? I cannot go along with that. I'm not saying broadcast the attack with a blinding light, I'm saying at least let it be noticeable. Like right when they press their button start something to let the attack be known. Whether that be particles or slight differences in the animation, just anything. It's these little things in "Real volleyball" that make defenders able to "Predict" where it goes. e.g the direction the spiker is facing, where the block positioned to stop them from hitting there. I don't care if they score a point and I have a way to stop it, I care when it's just RNG and there is nothing I can do but guess.

wtf on which planet is landing at 300kt normal??? i dread the forces that pilot goes through on the deceleration. 300kt to zero in what a second? jesus christ
@bridishbirb
@bridishbirb Ай бұрын
I just want to do the math on this right: we want to use acceleration, velocity and time here so we are looking at a = Δv ÷ Δt Δv = being change in velocity (300kt) Δt = being time taken for the change (1 second) we now want the result in terms of g-forces, where 1g ≈ 9.81m/s² so the formula is looking like: g-force = a ÷ g = Δv ÷ g • Δt converting 300kt into m/s would give us 154.32m/s now applying those values we get gforce = 154.32m/s ÷ 9.81m/s² x 1s ≈ 15.73g (i cant make this look good in youtube comments youll have to visualise how the formula actually looks) anyways that pilot is being put through 15.7gs, which is fucking horrible STOP DOING THAT TO HIM

if anyone wonders why i disconnected the autothrust at 02:27 it's because if you look at the ecam the engines start spooling up that increased engine output changes the way the aircraft behaves and at this altitude with a runway this short, i cannot be dealing with variables i do not control especially with a 13kt crosswind. so i disconnected it and spooled it down to about 50% which kept the airspeed stable enough for an alright landing it all comes down to how you FEEL the plane which is why I love simming so much lol
