Yes, but, we will not be doing that again. Our circumstances forced us to fly in that morning but that is a recipe for disaster. When we went to Key West and the Florida Keys, we flew into Ft. I don't know how that worked out but don't want to know. So, fly in the day before!

Hot is hot but we live in the south and enjoyed the dry heat vs the humidity we deal with. It looks like the average daytime temperature for the month of October is 89. We normally tip tour guides 20% like you would do for other services. Of course, it depends on service whether it's more or less sometimes. We loved Leo our guide and gave a few extra $'s. Let us know if you go and your thoughts on the tour.

@@travelwithdande I enjoyed the food immensely and we went in with low expectations because we are hobby cooks. It is hard to say what my favorite thing was because this was my first cruise. My wife and I are NCL Platinum cruisers. Not retired yet but hopefully in 5 years. We have cruised mostly Bahamas, Eastern and Western Caribbean's. We have also gone to Alaska. We are hoping to go to Europe but we know it is very expensive. Living in south Florida we have thought about doing a Panama Cannel cruise. I have noticed that you have done an excursion at every port, I know that could add up so just wondering which ports to do an excursion or just get off the ship and walk the port. As Platinum rewards members we get 4 specialty dinners (including free at sea) and of course open bar. We have also been to Harvest Kay and would probably stay on the ship for that stop.

Sure, on the Gem, they have everybody with an excursion to meet at the stardust theatre at a certain time. Then they send off groups of people by excursion. They sometimes give you a sticker with a bus number if everybody boards buses. If you are not taking an excursion from NCL, they let you go off first. It’s pretty orderly so it all goes well. We never had to wait a long time in line. Hope this answers your question.

I just can't see it, the more I look the more I'm convinced its not a meteor like we're being told.
