Love the video! I've got to do that hike. Something you should think about trying is a N. Manitou Island (which is part of the Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore) backpacking trip. I've done that twice now.

Nice work Felicia! Your build is great. Your vid is great. You tell the story well. And major kudos to Andrew! Hope you post a more detailed vid of the build at some point. But until you do, this one is great!

I'm working on this currently. I have all the lumber and purchased a jig saw because I want to make a couple of storage cutouts, considering I took out my back seats. I did this because i have mobility issues and wanted my platform lower to get in and out easier. Also i want the dog to be able to stand to and move around with ease. I traded for storage where the seats were. I haven't sourced carpet because I'm going to likely reuse a piece of laminate flooring i used in my previous setup. So my running total is still around $100. Thank you for making the directions easy to process and follow. 🚗 🏕 🐕

I've been going up to Northern Michigan Alpena and all that for years it's like a whole different lifestyle compared to here in the city in the suburbs the Metro Detroit area and people are a lot more slower on things it's more laid back I really like suit Saint Marie across Mackinaw that part of Michigan is just really nice and I really enjoy it I haven't been up to Sault ste Marie in close to 5 years so it's time to go again

Comfortably sleeping (enabling natural movements while sleeping) requires flat surface of body length + 3 inches, in your sketch you make a platform of 64 inches - 3 inches = 61 inches, so comfortable for people with a length of 61 inches or 1.55 m or below. In Netherlands avg length of adult male now is 1.83 cm and if you add 3 x standard deviation you need to cater for 1.95m..

Instead of drop pins, I used carriage bolts and star knobs to tighten the platform down to the supports. That way I could completely remove all the legs as shown in the video above.

You caught the super bloom of all superblooms. the rain in California has been steady and harder than the previous 30. And all that time, seeds have been accumulating and waiting in the soil for s super rain to transform them into a superbloom.

I took the seats out of my MDX and the space that was taken up by the folded down seats is used as storage and it doesn’t sacrifice head room, also made the suv 390lb lighter, seats are heavy,
