Thank you for looking at KIE. I appreciate your making the time to make a short video. I agree with you 100%. Personally I look at KIE not so much as a sector that may be a good investment but as one piece of evidence for gauging market sentiment. A rise in such a boring reasonably safe sector may be an indication of a sector rotation to more secure lower risk sectors.

Hello, is this sharp decline in NVIDIA considered a stock correction or it is already distribution phase of stock cycle ? Thanks
@MissionWinners
@MissionWinners 2 күн бұрын
Hello Sarkis, This is Pat Walker from Mission Winners. I wanted to address your excellent question about Nvidia: Is the sharp decline in Nvidia considered a stock correction, or is it already in the distribution phase of a stock cycle? First off, let's dive into the chart analysis. Looking at Nvidia’s daily chart, you can see it has had a remarkable run. For reference, we identified a buy opportunity around the $50-$52 range earlier on and it had a significant move upwards from there. Now, it appears to be rolling over. At Mission Winners, we combine price action with volume action to make better investing decisions. What do we see with Nvidia? As it began to lift, volume was initially good, but then distribution came in. This is evident from the red selling volume bars being substantially higher than the green buying bars. This indicates distribution. Currently, Nvidia is a bit below a rising 50-day moving average line. While the 50-day is still rising, suggesting it’s not completely rolling over, we need to monitor this closely. Let’s switch to the weekly chart for a broader perspective. The weekly chart shows that Nvidia has had a great run with multiple base breakouts. However, recently, we’ve observed some heavy selling bars, which indicates distribution on the weekly timeframe as well. For example, a recent bar showed heavier selling volume compared to the buying volume of the previous bar. This is a warning sign. Despite this selling pressure, it’s important to note that Nvidia’s trend is still up. We must keep an eye on it to see if it continues to roll over or if it finds support. The key moving average lines will help us in determining the next steps. Here’s a crucial point: At Mission Winners, we do not forecast. Instead, we let price and volume action guide our decisions. This approach reduces stress and increases our accuracy. Right now, we see distribution, but it’s essential to stay flexible and ready to adapt based on what the market tells us. In my years of experience, including managing significant amounts of money since 1986-87, I’ve learned the importance of letting the market guide our actions rather than trying to predict its moves. This has been a core principle in my trading strategy. To summarize, Nvidia is currently showing signs of distribution, but it’s not yet conclusive if this is the start of a prolonged downtrend. We will continue to monitor the price and volume action and let the charts dictate our next steps. I hope this detailed analysis helps you understand the current situation with Nvidia better. Thank you for your question, and I appreciate your engagement. Best regards, Pat Walker

@@MissionWinners is not strange to decline deeply and go from the distribution phase to mark down phase without any bad change in the company fundamentals ? I thought distribution phase should not happen in strong companies as long as their fundamentals are strong and growth parameters are great. I still do not understand despite of that , why did Nvidia go deeply down. I think investing will be very boring if always stocks decline to their previous season breakout point. In this case ,why investors hold stocks long time and expose themselves to corrections , distribution phases and mark down phases? IF so, It is better to trade couple of days and finish. During your practice , Do you remember wheter some similar deep decline happen with other great company like NVIDIA?Thanks

Read "How to Make Money in Stocks" by Bill O'Neill. Also read Mark Minervini's books. Watch Minervini's presentations on KZbin also where he reviews charts from past trades. Until you're consistently profitable only risk a maximum of 0.5% of your account total on any one trade, or even consider only trading on a paper account if absolutely nothing seems to work. Do not use leverage. Do not trade options. Do not short-sell. Only buy stocks over $15 (no penny stocks). Only buy stocks with q-on-q earning growth of 25%+. Do not trade any stock with less than 500K average daily volume. On all trades calculate your entry price trigger and stop (0.5% risk remember) before the market opens and do not deviate. Obey your stop price at all times. Continue watching Patrick's videos (and watch his past long-form presentations also). Review old charts of big winners and identify key base areas and entry points to train your eyes to see similar patterns in future. Finally, don't watch random KZbin videos and don't use any strategy you yourself haven't researched and fully understood the rationale for that particular strategy. And don't give up. Most successful traders report a minimum learning period of between 3-5 years before becoming consistently profitable - manage your expectations (and personal finances) accordingly.

Hello! First, I want to commend you for reaching out and being open about your journey. It's not easy to admit when things aren't going as planned, especially in trading. Many of us have been where you are, and I assure you, it's a crucial part of the learning process. Here are some recommendations to help you find your footing: Start with Education: Begin by grounding yourself in the fundamentals of trading. Books like "How to Make Money in Stocks" by William O'Neil can provide a solid foundation. Mission Winners is a great place to start for comprehensive insights and ongoing support in trading. Our resources are designed to help both beginners and seasoned traders. Learn from Proven Strategies: Focus on strategies that have stood the test of time. For example, the CAN SLIM method developed by William O'Neil combines both fundamental and technical analysis and has been used successfully by many traders. Practice with Paper Trading: Before diving back into real trading, use paper trading platforms to practice without financial risk. This will help you understand the market dynamics and refine your strategies without the pressure of losing money. Develop a Trading Plan: A trading plan is essential for consistent success. Define your risk tolerance, entry and exit criteria, and investment goals. Stick to your plan diligently to avoid impulsive decisions based on market fluctuations. Risk Management: Protecting your capital is paramount. Use stop-loss orders to limit potential losses and never risk more than a small percentage of your portfolio on a single trade. Start Small and Scale Up: Begin with small trades, perhaps 5 shares of a stock. This allows you to practice the mechanics of trading and selling 20% into strength while keeping your overall risk low. Trading small helps you maintain the structure of your system and refine your skills without putting too much capital at risk. As you become more confident and experienced, you can gradually increase your trade size. Join a Community: Surround yourself with like-minded individuals who are on the same journey. Joining a trading community like Mission Winners can provide support, insights, and continuous learning opportunities. You’ll find that sharing experiences and learning from others can significantly enhance your trading skills. Keep a Trading Journal: Documenting your trades, the rationale behind them, and the outcomes can be incredibly enlightening. Reflecting on your successes and mistakes will help you avoid repeating errors and refine your approach. Stay Patient and Persistent: Trading is a marathon, not a sprint. Success doesn't come overnight. Stay patient, keep learning, and remain persistent. Every loss is a lesson, and each setback brings you one step closer to success. Focus on Emotional Management: I recall a student who always made emotional trades and suffered losses. After focusing on emotional control and following a structured plan, his performance improved dramatically. Keeping your emotions in check to avoid making impulsive decisions is crucial. Maintain a balanced mindset, celebrate your wins modestly, and view losses as opportunities to grow. Remember, every great trader has faced losses and challenges. What sets them apart is their resilience and willingness to learn from their experiences. I believe in your potential to turn things around and achieve great success in trading. Stay committed, keep learning, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you need further guidance. You’ve got this!

Psychologically the key to this business is NOT to feel joy when things go well, and NOT to feel down when things go badly. Need to be detached but be quietly confident (Not easy to do). Sometimes the time required can be longer than expected but it will happen. Personally I've researched a lot of methodologies. What Pat teaches is very sound.

@@MissionWinners You correctly state, those represent higher risk therefore less capital should be at risk. From my own studies I have found that after a pull back below a previous low, once higher moves occur those upward swings that have the lowest risk and least likely to fail are swings 2 and 3. After that the risk of a swing failure increases dramatically. I'm no Guru, I may be wrong, just my own studies.

Hello Patrick, question, when you point out a good stock that could be buyed "in a good market", what do you mean by that? price above 21EMA in SPY and/or QQQ? something else? Thanks in advance
@MissionWinners
@MissionWinners 13 күн бұрын
Hello Luis, Great question! When I mention a stock that could be a good buy "in a good market," I'm referring to several key indicators that we look at to determine the overall health and direction of the market. Here are the main points: Major Indexes: We want to see the major indexes like the S&P 500 (SPY) and the NASDAQ 100 (QQQ) showing strength. This means they should be trending above key moving averages, such as the 21-day exponential moving average (EMA) and the 50-day simple moving average (SMA). A strong market typically has these indexes trending upward above these averages. Volume Confirmation: Along with price, volume is crucial. We look for increasing volume on up days and decreasing volume on down days. This indicates institutional buying and overall market strength. Market Breadth: This refers to the number of stocks advancing versus declining. A good market has a higher number of advancing stocks compared to those declining. We often check the advance-decline line for this purpose. Accumulation/Distribution: We analyze the accumulation/distribution ratings of the leading stocks. A high accumulation rating indicates that institutions are buying, which is a positive sign for the market. Technical Evidence: We look for specific technical patterns and signals within the charts that indicate strength or weakness in the market. This includes looking for breakouts on strong volume, bullish price patterns, and key support and resistance levels. Economic Indicators: While not always immediate, economic indicators such as employment data, GDP growth, and interest rates can influence market conditions. Positive economic news can support a strong market, while negative news can weigh it down. At Mission Winners, we make sure to frame up the market each day in our Key List™ Coaching video. In these videos, we analyze these key indicators daily to provide a comprehensive view of the market conditions. This helps us determine whether the market environment is conducive to buying stocks and guides our trading decisions. By looking at these factors, we can better gauge the overall market environment and make more informed trading decisions. To summarize, a good market is characterized by major indexes trending above key moving averages, strong volume patterns, positive market breadth, high accumulation ratings among leading stocks, and clear technical evidence in the charts. By framing up the market each day in our Key List™ Coaching videos, we ensure we are always aligned with current market conditions. I hope this helps clarify what we mean by a "good market"! Be sure to check out yesterday's post on How We Analyze Charts... missionwinners.com/how-we-analyze-charts-to-make-informed-investing-decisions/

My 5 cents. For the last few months most sectors have been either down or sideways, with only a few, semi conductors, software, tech, communication services showing strength (With rotation and pullbacks), the last week has seen an increase in the number of sectors showing strength. Pat's stock selection strategy has been highly successful. Given that various stocks are strong one week and pulling back the next, (except Eli Lilly) and that the general market seems to be stronger. Are there times when it may be better to merely go long an index, rather than bet on individual stocks?

Hi George, I appreciate your support and your insightful question about sector analysis and ETFs. It's a crucial aspect of trading, and you've nailed it with your approach. Every day, I scan ETFs at least once or twice, and we also do a detailed weekend video framing up the actions in the market. Sometimes, we might not find a great stock to buy coming out of a base, but we can often find an ETF that presents a good opportunity. For example, take a look at SMH, which is forming a cup with a handle. Despite the heavy volume down day on Thursday, it's still basing nicely. This could provide a potential buying opportunity if it breaks out. Another example is XLB, which started picking up with interest rate movements. Even more interesting is the homebuilders sector. Look at the strong lift here-interest rate sensitive, indeed. While there's no clean entry spot at the moment due to the fast move related to news, it’s a sector to keep an eye on. Ideally, I'd like to see it form a handle here, creating a cup with handle pattern that could offer a solid entry point. As you know, I scan ETFs to identify strength, which could mean buying the ETF itself or finding a leading stock within that group. This top-down approach is something I learned from Bill O'Neal-focus on leading groups and leading stocks. By doing this, we stack the deck in our favor because leading groups produce leading stocks and vice versa. Regarding your last question, there are indeed times when it might be better to simply go long on an index. We might choose to do that, or we might also find some strong individual stocks within that index and go long on those as well. It's about finding the best opportunities and managing them wisely. Thanks again for your question, George. I hope this helps clarify things for you. Best, Pat Walker

So they took profit all at the same time like they new growth was over ??? Or they caused the drop by selling because edge funds have enough money to manipulate the market? Did they all descided to sell the CPI news and buy the rumour about the upcoming interest rate in september as they rotate investment toward small cap and real estate stock (stock that are very well affected by interest rate) Haha trying to see the bigger picture, thank you Pat 🙏
@MissionWinners
@MissionWinners 20 күн бұрын
Great question! Let’s dive into it. It’s important to remember that predicting market moves is nearly impossible. Our job as stock traders isn’t to guess where the money is going but to observe where it’s headed by watching the charts. Often, ETF charts can provide insight into the rotation of funds, helping us understand where the money is coming from and where it’s going. Make sure to check out our weekend video, which covers ETFs and the MAXLIST™. It’s released every Sunday at 2 PM ET. The market has indeed shifted towards favoring a rate cut this year. The CME FedWatch Tool shows a 92.7% probability for a September cut and a 96.9% chance for a November cut. As stock traders, our primary job is to cut through the noise and focus on the signals the market gives us. Stick to the rules, and let the setups and traction (or lack thereof) guide your decisions. The stocks will tell you what and when you should be buying. Our goal is to become proficient at listening to the market, not predicting it. Regarding your question about hedge funds and market manipulation: It’s possible that large players, including hedge funds, can influence market moves, especially when they act in unison. However, it’s also about market psychology and reaction to news. The recent CPI news and speculation about upcoming interest rate changes can drive such behavior, leading to rotations into small-cap and real estate stocks, which are sensitive to interest rate changes. Stay focused on the charts and let them guide your trades. Keep learning and observing, and you’ll get better at seeing the bigger picture. Thank you for your question, and keep up the great work!

Are these AI videos?
@MissionWinners
@MissionWinners 13 күн бұрын
Absolutely, our videos leverage advanced AI technologies to enhance both the production process and the final output. Here’s a detailed breakdown of how AI is integrated into our video creation: Streamlining the Production Process: We use AI algorithms to automate various aspects of video editing. This includes cutting dead air, which helps in maintaining the viewer’s engagement by removing unnecessary pauses or silence. The AI tools we employ are capable of recognizing speech patterns and identifying moments of inactivity, allowing for a more fluid and dynamic video pace. Enhancing Engagement: Our AI systems are designed to analyze viewer preferences and behavior. By understanding which segments of the video are most engaging, the AI can suggest edits and highlight key points that resonate with our audience. This process involves machine learning models that track engagement metrics such as watch time, click-through rates, and user feedback. Technical Aspects of AI Integration: - Natural Language Processing (NLP): We utilize NLP to transcribe spoken content and create searchable text versions of our videos. This not only aids in editing but also improves accessibility. - Computer Vision: AI-powered computer vision tools help in identifying and categorizing visual elements within the video. This includes face recognition, scene detection, and even sentiment analysis based on facial expressions and body language. - Audio Processing: Advanced audio processing algorithms are used to clean up background noise, balance audio levels, and enhance overall sound quality. This ensures that the audio component of our videos is crisp and clear, providing a better viewer experience. Automation and AI-Driven Suggestions: AI tools also automate repetitive tasks such as color correction, lighting adjustments, and even adding transitions or effects. Furthermore, AI can suggest creative elements based on the content, such as relevant graphics, animations, or even music that complements the tone of the video. Deep Learning and Predictive Analysis: We incorporate deep learning techniques to predict trends and topics that are likely to engage our audience. This involves analyzing large datasets of previous video performance, social media trends, and even broader internet trends to tailor our content strategy effectively. By integrating these sophisticated AI technologies, we are able to produce high-quality, engaging videos efficiently, ensuring that our content not only meets but exceeds the expectations of our audience. This blend of technology and creativity allows us to stay ahead in the competitive landscape of video content creation.
