I am a Democrat, but I sincerely hope Adam Kinzinger will consider running for president someday; he is a Republican I would feel honored to vote for (assuming, of course, that I didn’t think the Democratic candidate was the better choice). The Oregon Coast has a nasty reputation for being one of the toughest environments for a USCG aircraft and especially a rescue swimmer to operate in and rightfully so because their being battered by 5 to 10 ft waves and winds that can easily exceed 40 mph but in 12+ years in a search and rescue position one of the first things I was taught was to stay calm in a crisis cause panicking will just exacerbate the situation even more for both yourself and your rescuer!
