Thanks for the show. I'm watching now, from the Thai jungle, but from 1997 to 2006 I watched from the roof of the SF Maritime Museum, I was Exhibit Specialist there, and my shop was under the bleachers. The roar of those planes supercharged the neighborhood with sound and it was an irresistible call to go watch from the roof. Beautiful weather for you. It made me a little bit homesick.

hehe.. Starmites... I was in that around that time.. I was, well a starmite.. and a uh.. Tree.. great fun.. I thinc I got bored when they stopped distributing copies of the plays on VHS to us. What a copyright infringment on our souls.. YAY!

We were extremely blessed to have a wonderful meal in this amazing place shortly before they closed. They were kind enough to give my wife & I a personal tour of the downstair very fancy banquet room which had numerous antique carvings & other items in cabinets & on the walls. The tables & chair were crafted in China. It was a very special room. We did dine in the main restaurant upstairs & I think we may have been the only customers on that day. We later took a walk along China Alley & at the end we looked thru the windows of an old Chinese Laundry. I am glad that the community & some special people still are keeping some of China Alley in shape & active. I am glad we made a humble donation for this purpose as I love history. Too bad that someone did not keep the restaurant going...it had such a unique place in history...as did the amazing chef who established it.

Thank you so much! I grew up in the 60s (born 1958) and remember using those hand clippers to edge the sidewalk. Daddy did the mowing, though. But we hand pulled every stray weed he pointed out. Beautiful family, happy times.

I've been looking for the 747 low fly by . I was on Monticello roof sat and sun but fri at dock was best sept when they came right over top that was amazing.
