Good stories are to the soul what good food is for our body. It nourishes, it strengthens, it invigorates. I gave up on cinema a long time ago to tell good stories. Those seldom happen nowadays. I love reading, but it's hard for me to take a novel because I don't think I will truly find anything that is both engaging and meaningful. And gaming? I mostly play FIFA or war strategy games. A point-and-click fantasy adventure was something new for me, and what an adventure it was. I just finished playing the game. I wasn't expecting to feel this heart-wrenched and tearful. I just witnessed and lived through a great story and had the chance to meet someone that I know will walk in my mind and my memories for as long as I'm still able to remember. Every good story, the ones that really count, makes you feel that there is something at stake, that something beautiful and precious exists and it might one day disappear from your life. My neighbor Totoro would be the first anime i show my kid. Picture this, imagine being 6 years old on a light rainy firday afternoon afterschool snuggled up on the couch with hot coco and fire place on cause its cold watching Totoro. Doesn't that hit hard as a nostogic memory? Im already jealous of my kids and i ain't got none yet😣
