In a way although way nerdier and more towards metal than Punk this isn't too different from what modern "j classical' bands achieve in terms of creating a trippy/surreal fantasy landscape. Don't know if that's a real connection or if I'm just drunk but cheers,Punk and Metalheads and Emos and Kvltists of the world and goths have a great night.

Having not heard this album for several years, I now can pick up the Dream Command sound.

Cool fact, both Flood and Butch Vig worked with these guys before going on to work with NIN and Garbage, respectively. Come Clean was Curve's 'The Fragile', before the latter had been made lol. I always tell people, you have no idea how much their sound influenced music that was to come, but nobody's ever heard of them. A tragedy

I still rock this. It used to be the first song I put on while people are walking in. Sometimes in the middle of a mix I drop this in (as a tease) and the crowd goes crazy.

True story: In 2020 I flew to Chicago to see King Buffalo, but it was REZN the supporting band who I really wanted to see. In between bands Wolf City started playing over the PA, I was blown away. It’s the first time that I’ve ever heard Amon Düül played in public, and I couldn’t ask for a better time, and place to hear Wolf City, Lincoln Hall, center balcony, tripping on THC gummies, Chicago.

There's not too many singers who have that rare gift of being able to take you to another place and time with their music, Nic is one of these. Simple yet majestic, this song is an absolute gem. Thanks for sharing.

Fun fact: there is a sample of Toni Halliday's dog panting on this song. The dog was called Turkey

My introduction to the very early Steeleye Span after I had bought Parcel of Rogues and Below the Salt - it was on a compilation in the mid 70s - beautiful song

This is a reminder of when I first began listening to Steeleye Span something like 50 years ago. Such an absolutely brilliant and talented band!

I Knew a girl,”Smudge”. She was light years ahead of me. I looked up to her.She was the bees knees. We were as close as could be without physical relations.Yet I’m grateful for her presence at the time. She was a cog in the wheel for me getting out of bed ,rubbing my eyes and waking up. Hope she’s alright! Ps: Philip made it with you.I wish I was jealous….

I watched the Enz sing this live in the Queens Hotel in Brisbane, will never forget it, Tim opened the song with just vocals, I think the whole place was spellbound. I have always since counted this song as one of my absolute favs.

I drummed for a band when I was 16. The guitarist John played this to me…… hooked. I think it was 1981? I’m not old I just have seasoning

A song that encompasses what set The Comsat's apart from their new wave/post punk contemporaries. Excellent songwriting, soulful vocals and a truly psychedelic edge.
