I think that’s a great strategy. I’m working on a 10k savings a year. So far it’s going pretty good.

Put $1000 a fortnight away towards your retirement account. That all you need to do at your age, and you will work thing out later along the decade

Keep going. I've got kids, a full time job and a side business and it is TOUGH! Especially if you have no support. But don't worry, you're not alone and you will get through if you persevere one day at a time

Where are you saving this money? And why do you need to save £20k

Yes, I was trying to see if it possible to save $20k on ~$50k 9-5 income after 401k investment. It was possible since I was able to live on the budget that I planned out. Just selective fun, but doable. However, I am now working to increase my income and try to save half of what I make for investment/saving.
