I don't understand what Mohammed did that makes people trust him? It says he split the moon but nobody else in the world saw it? Do you realise how big a deal that would be? It would be documented by astronomers all over the world. This is very different to saying we cannot now prove if Moses did or didn't split the sea as only people present would have seen that. Splitting the moon would have people all over the world in a panic, even if it only happened for a minute. Even if Mohammed did and said all the things the sources say he didn't say anything that wasn't self serving and didn't provide any miracles to back it up. Finally none of the previous revelations from God predict his coming unlike Christ. So what's left why believe him?
