So in comparison of the English and Japanese versions I’ve come kinda to a thought that I think kinda works. Jason Griffith’s version of this with his little giggle and his still kinda joking attitude can symbolize the madness dark sonic has while Jun’ichi Kanemaru’s version can symbolize the anger dark sonic had built up through his silent non-joking attitude. I think both play out well but the 4Kids dub really took out a lot of what made Sonic X great

1:57, I love how he changes color. Like you turn a light off and the room gets dark. The Aura around him is chilling like a thunderstorm in the distance. This is the first time Sonic is very angry, and he is not playing around.

So here's my favourite bits: 1) When sonic asks the metarex "Chris, What did you do to him?" . The 4kids dub had music, just making it just another angry scene, but in japanese, it is truly scary because there is no music, no sound effects, just sonic's interrogation 2) When he says "Do you really want to fight me?", There is more rage to the voice. 3) When defeating the Gold Metarex, There is actual screaming, making this a Rage Scene more than an Angry scene.
