Hi , I'm 23 years old with a myopia of -3.00 and (-1) astigmatism in both eyes. Can I often take off my glasses to read my smartphone or read a book for hours every day without worsening my myopia or astigmatism for the long-term ? 🙏Also, i’d like to know if wearing under-corrected glasses of -2.50 (which is -0.50 less than my normal myopia of -3) and -0.75 for astigmatism (which is -0.25 less than my normal astigmatism of -1.00) for almost a year now will worsen my myopia at 23 years old ?🙏 Thanks...

Hay dave, do you have a solution about my right eye which is affected by amblyopia. I am 34 years old

Dave, great interview with Mike, and am really happy that retirement for Mike certainly has not meant discontinuing his ongoing valuable contributions of knowledge and passion for the art and science of Orthok.

Restasis new bottles don't work they don't dispense correctly. Thus I ran out of drops and can't get a refill. The doctors don't understand the pain that goes with this.

I was onnreatastis for 14 months. Didn't do anything. Even had a scan, and there wasn't even that much atrophy. Restasis simply doesn't work. Restasis is an immunosuppresant. Dry eye isn't always caused by inflamation.

I agree doc, but it does make us all anxious and even angry that while we pay, use and wait a year or more, others get rich off us while we simply end up with smaller checking accounts. The cost of the Xiidra is shocking to me, and after four months of use has produced only moderate results. Thanks for the info in the clip, and I do use warm packs everyday as well. Intense burning for a half hour, itchy and blurry for up to two hours as well makes it not my favorite drug, but I'm trying hard to fix this problem and running out of options.

I’ve been on Xiidra for two weeks now. My eyes are blurry and they don’t feel better, they feel worse! They burn all day long. Should I stay with this product or not. I’m thoroughly disappointed and I’m tired of my eyes burning all day long.

How about putting a face cloth in microwave and when that is heated put a heated rice filled sock over that ? By doing that you’re getting the moisture and heat!

Add 2400IU Vitamin E daily and reduce beta carotene and vitamin A intake will go a long way to reduce dry eyes too.
@talksick5086 жыл бұрын
redtroika reduce??? Hmm I took accutane years ago and severe dryness everywhere So u mean don’t eat carrots and veggies anymore Or eggs ?
@redtroika82646 жыл бұрын
All foods high in beta carotene and/or vitamin A. Worst culprits are; carrots, beets, parsley, cantaloupe, fish, fish oils, bone broth high in vitamin A, etc. Google a chart. Start off with total elimination of high offenders and start lower dose of vitamin E (400IU) and increase every few days to 2400IU in divided dose throughout the day and maintain. Cut off any other supplements, eat high protein Chicken/turkey diet with steamed potatoes, or boiled basmati rice. Too much vitamin E can also cause symptoms. IN other words go Spartan and then slowly introduce foods and pay attention to dryness or eye or skin symptoms. You will have to monitor and adjust accordingly. Accutane stores in your liver and central nervous system for decades which means it could inflame your brain. Skin problems are an intestinal issue often caused by antibiotics and vaccines. Interesting thing is that when one fasts on water only for a long period, the intestines start to heal and the skin clears up, at least until your next meal. Diet should be continental with grilled meats (no cooked oils), boiled veg, steamed or press cooked potatoes (not baked), boiled basmati rice. Use extra virgin olive oil and lemon with Himalayan salt as a condiment, sparingly and no other.

redtroika hmm I’m so confused because I avoid potato’s because I was told pre diabetic years ago I’m in gluten wheat dairy free diet I don’t really eat any a anymore I do get it in eggs and other stuff This just sucks because I’m so dry and rashy My hair falling out But I’m afraid of food now Histamine intolerance I heard it could be Bone broth I heard is amazing for health but then histamine And now u say a This is so hard I get 4%a in my yogurt almond kind 10% in my coconut almond milk 10% rice Chex cereal I normally wouldn’t eat this but I lack so many vitamins on diet And eggs here and there 6-12% I appreciate all of this Just dunno how to even do this anymore My diets so limited as is

While I'm not part of the panic group I think we have to be realistic. Lux has never done anything positive for primary care. From eyemed, where they send recalls to your patients highlighting their closets location, to LensCrafters and other chains to requiring sunglasses sales in order to offer ophthalmic frames, and oh btw they sell those suns at sunglasses hut, their other retail outlets and online which sales have grown exponentially this year. Bury your head in the sand if you want but the are absolutely not good for independents. And second go Steelers!
