I’m 10 days out and my top gums are still swollen and can’t get my upper denture in😢

I am so relieved I am not alone and reading all these comments. I thought something was wrong with me! I am trying so hard with the uppers it can only wear them with gauze in between because they hurt so bad. I have to wait a week to see the dentist to have them adjusted. Thank you for sharing your story It’s nice to know I’m not the only one having a hard time with the immediates. Praying the permanent ones are a million times better than these

I started the process in November last year it took 4 procedures before I could even get fitted it's now September and I just got them and I'm more self conscious now the teeth are so big for my mouth and it's gonna take forever to learn how to talk and eat with them honestly I would've never got dentures knowing how horrible this entire process has been

Dealing with this right now. My upper pallet DOES NOT FIT. I'm not settling for half ass. I'm not leaving my next appointment til it fits. This is ridiculous. I can't even wear it or eat. I hate this entire ordeal.

Not at all my experience either. I still don't get why immediate dentures even SHOULD be a good idea. I was an intense bleeder on extraction day. They had to stop after the uppers . . . I went home and continued to bleed for 18 hrs. After a couple days . . . I tried to put my immediate upper in and it did not come anywhere near close to fitting. I am retired and don't care if anyone sees me without teeth . . so I told them I wanted to let my gums heal. Had my lowers extracted 3 weeks later. I'm going back in 2 weeks to measure for my permanents. It will be 4 months from upper extractions and 3 months from the lowers. I have not worn any teeth for this whole period. My one worry is: since they did such a bad job with my temporaries . . . will they get the permanents correct? ? ?

My dentist out reline stuff in my denture and curved out the top pallet so I'm not gagging on it. Monday I'm asking to have the top plate thinned out.

I have the same issue with my top. I can’t even eat yogurt with my dentures in. My bottoms fit very nice . How are your dentures now did they ever fit?

I had the same exact problem i had all mine taken out yesterday and my upper is so swollen it wouldnt fit so now i have to wait until monday and try again if swelling goes down

I’m not sure if youll get this, but I just wanted to thank you. I’m going through the same thing right now with both my top and bottom immediate dentures not fitting. Today is day 3 post extractions and I think today has been the worst of it, but after watching your videos I feel so much more relaxed. I needed to hear what you said in your videos. I’m in the process of getting all on 6 implants, costing me $50,000 out of pocket.

I’ve been wearing dentures for a couple years now. I could never eat with the bottoms in so I never wear them. A month and a half ago I had the anchors placed in my jaw for permanent bridges. In November I’ll never have to wear dentures again hopefully. God bless you, I hope everything goes well for you❤

My e day was May 18. My immediate dentures are so bad that they are remaking them. On May 25 they made new molds and I am going for a wax try on May 31. I also used Affordable Dentures and Implants (Delray Beach FL). If they don't fit they should be remade.

So true! I walked out devastated because my teeth didn’t fit. I went straight to the denturist and was able to get tops in with adhesive but the bottoms couldn’t be fixed for months! I was not prepared for that, so thanks for warning people that can happen

Hi Nicole, I have an appointment with affordable dentures next Friday may 19th for a new pair of immediates i decided to make an appointment with them because I'm planning on returning the immediates that I have now from my dental office. I sure hope that they fit, I'll be three weeks out from Eday on May 19th. Thank you for posting this video, it's not so bad, but I cant wait to get my teeth! Hi Nicole, Oh my Gosh, I am 11 days out from Eday. Both top and bottom immediate dentures did not fit at all. My dentist told me that I had to wait until may 24 to adjust the dentures, It has been a challenge, but I'm taking day by day.
