We use to sing this song when I was a teenager, The Fantastic Violinaires were in a class all by themselves! Long live traditional gospel quartets

Reminds me of The Meters. Nonetheless, this groovy joint just makes me feel like there definitely shouldn't be genres when it comes to music. Music should be categorized only based on where it originated from. Like this should be labeled: Black American Music from the 70s & not gospel or funk or jazz music ijs

I have got a deep appreciation for my mother. I'll never forget the time in 8th grade when I was suspended from the bus for being involved in a fight. I was hit in the back of the head and put in a headlock, which almost caused serious injury to my throat. When my mom learned about the suspension and my difficulty swallowing, she was understandably upset. She took me to the hospital for throat X-rays, and fortunately, no surgery was needed. Once we had the medical prescriptions, she returned to the school with the suspension notice, the X-rays, and the prescriptions, making a beeline to the principal's office. She even contemplated taking legal action against the school district and the student, but the district ultimately paid for my medical expenses and allowed me to ride the bus again. God rest her soul. I love my mother.

I have heard many lesser known quartets try to duplicate some of the more well known quartets like The Soul Stirrers, Harmonizing Four, Dixie Hummingbirds, etc but The Violinaires can't be duplicated!

My favorite gospel group. My dad used to take me to see them ‘live’ every year when I was in grade & Jr high school and the sound was spectacular! Very moving. He use to play this album every day. Nice memory.

One of my biggest moments in playing quartet music was opening up for the Fantastic Violinaires at the Holly Oak Park in Shelby NC. We got to hangout with them backstage . The Cats were really down to Earth.
