I love Phish, and I LOVE their regular light show...this feels like a giant 1990's screensaver. Based on the videos of U2 and Phish, the Sphere looks like more gimmick than advancement. Was the audio experience is worth it? Better than a normal tour? Thx.

You shouldn't go. U2 sold out 40 shows at $300/ticket. Apparently, word-of-mouth was bad, and everyone had to see for themselves how bad it was. After all, 18k video resolution and 167,000 immersive speakers are so old school.

@DK-dg8cz we can disagree on if the masses would fly to a city and then pay $300 to experience something that was only hype. I would think initially, but for several months, reviews were overwhelmingly positive. Otherwise, attendance would have dropped. I wanted to mainly point out that technological advances don't come cheap, and they didn't spare expense when building this, so imo, it's not a gimmick.
