Can just showing a reward letter showing that you get SSI stop the child support arrears and if I call the local child support office by law do they have to stop asking for back child support if I only income is SSI and I got proof of it and what I need to go to court to get a modified or can they do that over the phone after seeing the reward letter

This is the most disgusting program! to tell a child you are denied survivor benefits because your daddy or mommy who died didn’t work enough, not only are they left without them emotionally and physically but the other parent is left with to pick up the pieces alone. Also they will review the whole file. If you already won some benefits, even if it is not fully favorable. There is a chance they could review the whole file and say that you didn't deserve any benefits, This is when it gets remanded to the judge who made that decision if he or she is still around. Just keep in mind that the appeal could result in a loss of any benefits you won or it could result in a loss of some of them. It goes both ways, you could get more maybe but you are risking an unfavorable review. An attorney could help you decide if it is wise to appeal or not. How do they calculate 2 years ? Based on approval date or onset of disability date? How far can they back date approval if only 1 year from app date but 15 from onset?

I was just approved for SSD while collecting from WC weekly. Before applying I checked what my SSD payment would be, and now only going to receive very little from SSD monthly because of the offset of WC payments receiving. I was 66 years old when I filed in Feb of this year. How will this affect my SS retirement now? Supposably the SSD was to be the same amount that I would receive when I reached full retirement age of 66 & 8 months. What happens when they cut me from WC, will I get the full amount, and how do I notify SS on this? I have not received a settlement yet for loss of use, but it is in the works. You need to have a checking account that is exclusively for your SSI and SSI only. These accounts are protected from any and all garnishments under this condition.

So if you can show them you can handle to pay your own bills they will let you become your own payee Long story short my mom's my payee and she's using my money I want to move out so I can call the shots on my own money but I pretty much pay my own bills I paid the electric I pay the internet she pretty much sits all the time in her room I can't live like this anymore I feel like I'm trapped in a third world country but the last time I had a state payee they tried to take my money which is why I went back with my mom I don't know I just feel trapped right now if they don't let me become my own PE I won't be able to get my own place and I'll be trapped like a prisoner forever or until my mom dies
